On your squeak: it looks like the belt is jumping (a little loose). The high amp alternator has more load on the belt and if it is loose, it will slip a little causing the noise. The lubricant merely allows the belt to slip without making the noise. If you are old enough to remember when cars had big A/C compressors, the belt would slip when the compressor (adding load) kicked on

Nice video on getting many projects done before your trip to SF. Here is something you might consider to fix your belt slipage. Lower the alternator, iInstall an idler pully
between the alternator and the crankshaft pulley like a car installation. This will give you more belt surface contact on all three pulleys. You then need to install a longer
    belt and ajust the tension.

I think after the 303 and belt tightening, it's been ok - however the alternator heats up (and depowers) too quickly before being loaded for long periods of time so I don't think the high-output load lasts for very long, but we shall see

On your fuel filter: the smallest of air leaks will cause the engine to lose prime and stop. I replaced a fuel line and the engine would run fine for 30 min or so and then stop. After many hours of filter changes and foul language, one more 1/4 turn on the clamp on the replaced line solved the problem. TIGHTEN all clamps and fuel filters in fuel delivery system

I think this engine can run with small leaks (since I've done it), however i have noticed a diesel smell since changing the filters, and believe I have about a 1 drop per-day leak still...very frustrating as i have replaced them and then re-replaced barbs. Quick sick of dealing with fueling issues tbh!

Great video! I can tell you must be a great project manager. I thought the Jira board to show the status of the projects was a great way to explain the tasks and have a running list of all tasks, what is in the backlog, what is in progress and what is being postponed. I think this mehod far exceeds what many of the other channels are doing to manage their projects.
Good luck with the channel and keep the videos coming.

thank you, much appreciated!! I've done a lot of PM'ing, managing, and engineering! I can say it's the most fun to do on a boat 😁

Those may be a little late. Adjust field regulation to supply less charge at idle. The engine is not warmed up. Too much load. The 303 was just letting the belt slip with no noise. Not ideal

What's the standing rigging cost if I can ask?
