Engine Failure in Offshore Delivery - 6 Days Nonstop ep 14

Hey all, in this video we do the majority of the delivery of Isara down the coast of Oregon and California.
We encounter wales, gales, and equipment failure - including the main sail, jib, and engine. The diesel fuel filters were getting clogged within minutes!
But we lived through it all and even had a bit of fun while doing it

the rocking of the boat maybe caused the "stuff" moving around in the diesel tank and it got caught up in the filter.

yes that is definitely what happened. Also, I put in some starbrite fuel cleaner, which I think partially dissolved the sludge

didn't the surveyor look into the tank?

hah no and not possible! I ended up cutting access holes - upcoming episode
