For a new coop you put the feed inside for the first week just so they know it's home, I'm staying away from those automatic doors for now, just because the mongoose were getting inside my coop during the day to steal eggs, they are locked up in the run now, mongoose haven't been able to get in.

I am lucky , our predictor pressure is pretty low here. No mongoose to be seen , we do have pine martins but they only come out at night
