Then, by the time we had to pick a side, the Japanese gave us a choice hours before their landing and nobody knew where the Prime Minister, Plaek Phibunsongkram went. @@rps215 japan gets it because of "demand indochina", not because capitulation. and all you have to do is ask japan you transfer control after you are at war with allies i believe,it should work on these states too.
@@MrVentches From what I have seen, if France capitulate too quickly, Japan will press that button right away. If not and Japan already spent the PP they have for something else, they often do not get a chance to press that button later until someone declares war on Vichy France.

Another option (that works even in vanilla) is to join Axis instead, that way you can capture French Indochina really early on and form the Rattanakosin Kingdom for extra cores. Afterwards you can naval invade Indonesia before Japan gets their hands on it, rather than trying to push through nonexistent Burmese infrastructure
That's why i hope the "Pearls of the Orient" can get a countrypack first before the South Americans. I mean, Japan's Battlefield worth more than America's Backyard.

Fun fact: During the Japanese "invasion" of Thailand, the Japanese sent one of their soldiers to negotiate with the Thai police at a police station in Prachuap province. The problem was that no one understood each other. The Japanese soldier was bayoneted to death, a firefight ensued after that. The civilians, the police, and the servicemen were eager to defy the Japanese, but the higher-ups didn't really want to. Who knows what atrocity would've happened if they didn't surrender to the Japanese.
Siam is actually surprisingly fun in MP you allie with Japan and take alot of land or you could go communist and allie with the soviets and get land that way. Playing Siam isn't even that bad compared to some other minors.
Just finished a game as Thunder Cross Latvia, joined the Fascist allies, held back Russia, and together with the Axis, Destroyed the USSR. Twas a very cursed game of Hoi4
If South East Asia had a DLC it would be sick: Dutch East Indies has potential for a focus tree British Malaya should be in the Together For Victory DLC but this focus tree would be better Siam did help in WW2 so it would be a good Focus Tree Philippines (not in South East Asia but whatever) would be fun if you want to make a fortress or just defend against the Japanese empire
Looking forward to Switzerland actually! Dont know how possible it would be, but i like the idea of making the AI grind up on your line from all sides? Maybe it could be like a throwback to your old switzerland video from back in the day where you showed off an espionage mod? You could spec into espionage and be the allied spymaster, causing chaos from the background? This was what kept me occupied in my recent British Raj game, where I played till 1946 and tactically nuked most of Germany and every Japanese victory point. Whatever you do, it'll be super funny and impressive like all your other videos! I doubt you read comments but if you see this, thanks for introducing me to paradox and for making me laugh since freshman year :)
