my SIL makes this every Easter & I couldn't remember the name or how she said she made it. A little salt & pepper & I could eat the whole thing! Interesting to hear about butter and the broiler part to crispy it up. Never heard of that being done.
We make it the same way and my mother always said clear liquid too lol lots of stirring. My family sprinkles a little sugar on the slice. Do you make the Easter breakfast? Ham, keilbasa, chren, babka, pickled beets etc...

My family did the butter and oven/ broiler too.
You have to use a double boiler pam❤
I always made it in a double broiler. I found it cooked too quickly and stuck to the bottom if I just used a pot.
I was just wondering why did u not sliced it. Was u scared its gone go separate like the bit from the bottom lol
