RIP Kentaro Miura The mangaka who worked on this masterpiece for 30 years. It's a tragedy, but to take a brief moment to step back, Berserk was always about understanding life is unfair and growing through the pains to thrive in spite of the injustice.
It’s insane how much Miura influenced our lives. Most of my favorite games were inspired by breserk, many dark fantasy titles today were inspired by Berserk, hell I’ve learned many life lessons just from Miuras work, that’s proof right there that this man is a legend. RIP Kentaro Miura, your love, life, and greatness will live on forever in all of our hearts... rest easy Struggler, your fight is finally over.
I think the same like you, my favorite videogames are Dark souls 1,2 and 3, a lot inspired by Berserk. My favorite manga is Berserk itself, literally my favorite things in media are connected to Berserk. I will never forget this masterpiece . Rip Sensei Miura ❤

Yet it's also sinister and evil, as if this is the destiny of man, to struggle against forces beyond our control.
Playing Elden Ring and listening Berserk soundtrack is badass thing ever. Just play "My Brother" while fighting against Radahn, gets you into right mood.
yeah i really enjoy the dynamic. the story is basically just about "struggle" and guts getting fucked yet i never lose hope for him. he always perseveres. since guts is there you know everyting will somehow work out. no matter how hard it gets. i love comfort character protags. luffy is another one that makes me feel that way. i never feel anxiety when hes on screen.
Dark stories always tend to be the most motivating kind of story for whatever reason. It doesn't lie to you about what life is like, and that it is very comforting.

Because the new animators are clearly inexperienced in the field. Japanese animations is primarily 2d, and that's what most animes are based upon. But animators in the gaming industry, from 2002 onward are trained in 3D animation and how well they can pull it off. You see, the most important thing about it is: How can the animation be flashy enough, yet feel good when executed by the player via a button and stuff. Trust me, it's a whole other beast, but still i feel they should of hired game animators to help them, that kind of experience is irreplacable.

Gutts is driven by rage, Kenshiro is driven by sadness. Both are awesome, although anyone who has read both mangas would know Kenshiro would win a match between them.
Dean V. Not really, no. And I'll tell you why. Never in any moment it was implied that Guts could move so fast that other people couldn't see him. Not even at the peak of his power and/or while using his armor. Kenshiro on the other hand is not only too fast for the human eye, but by the time he unlocks his true potential he is so fast that even other people who are too fast for the human eye cannot see him move. Put that in numbers and Guts would never be able to catch up with Kenshiro. Speed is paramount in combat and still, Kenshiro's feats of strenght also surpass Guts' by a LOT.
throughout the years I have pictured a demonic army getting ready while the band is helping inspire troops. The main singer is a handsome looking elf/demon hybrid with a chorus of background singers who I usually assume to be mages of sorts and then then there's the band itself of demonic drummers/trumpeteers singing and playing along as the demonic army gets ready and towards the end it's the demonic army marching off as the band watches them go.
RIP to an absolute Legend... No other work of fiction I've come across made me feel so immersed. Miura, Thank you for your work. Thank you for these Memories.

When i was playing this game, my brother was in the room and when i was watching the intro cinematic he said: "why does every ps2 game have banger music?" Well said.
They needed to do something like Brad Bird. Draw 2D first and then transfer it to 3D, instead of trying to make 3D look like 2D. But then, that would have been harder and probably more expensive. They also needed to not blend part 1 and part 3, bring back Susumu at all cost and not have such a lame opening. But, then those would be good ideas and I don't think good ideas were allowed into the production studio.
funkwolf1 i don't even feel like they tried particularly hard to make it look 2d. they just threw that shitty shading filter on it and called it a day. Bubuki Buranki came out this year, was cg and looked pretty good. even Knights of Sidonia was more creative working with it's limitations. this new Berserk anime is just a lazy effort on all fronts.

Never in any moment it was implied that Guts could move so fast that other people couldn't see him. Not even at the peak of his power and/or while using his armor. Kenshiro on the other hand is not only too fast for the human eye, but by the time he unlocks his true potential he is so fast that even other people who are too fast for the human eye cannot see him move. Put that in numbers and Guts would never be able to catch up with Kenshiro. Speed is paramount in combat and still, Kenshiro's feats of strenght also surpass Guts' by a LOT.
Reading the Falconia Arc and the appearance of the world tree while listening to this OST gave me the chills of my life
throughout the years I have pictured a demonic army getting ready while the band is helping inspire troops. The main singer is a handsome looking elf/demon hybrid with a chorus of background singers who I usually assume to be mages of sorts and then then there's the band itself of demonic drummers/trumpeteers singing and playing along as the demonic army gets ready and towards the end it's the demonic army marching off as the band watches them go.

came here to console myself after watching the first episode of the new anime.
They needed to do something like Brad Bird. Draw 2D first and then transfer it to 3D, instead of trying to make 3D look like 2D. But then, that would have been harder and probably more expensive. They also needed to not blend part 1 and part 3, bring back Susumu at all cost and not have such a lame opening. But, then those would be good ideas and I don't think good ideas were allowed into the production studio.
funkwolf1 i don't even feel like they tried particularly hard to make it look 2d. they just threw that shitty shading filter on it and called it a day.
Bubuki Buranki came out this year, was cg and looked pretty good.
even Knights of Sidonia was more creative working with it's limitations.
