At least you, unlike some doctors I know, admitted a mistake and rectified it when it became apparent. All of us make mistakes, the greatest difference is how we deal with them. I'm glad to say you dealt with it responsibly and honestly, which in my case means I have even greater respect for you and your work.
Statistically it was bound to happen. How may hundreds of thousands of hooves has he trimmed in his career? Can't go back so he takes admits the oversight and proceeds to begin the process to heal that hoofs current condition. I say well done.
My thought too. Thanks.
We all make mistakes and it takes an amazing person to understand that they made a mistake and to say okay I made this mistake, let’s try to rectify the mistake to the best of our ability.
I was thinking that she's lucky she has you caring for her. And if you don't remember being the one caring for her, it might have been Craig or Kevin. Who take just as much care as you do, and are well taught. Ultimately, it doesn't matter which of the three of you did the previous trim, the problem has been caught now and each of the three of you will take extra special care of that foot until it's fully healed.
Big difference with docs admitting they made mistake it usually very costly for them can also cost them their license and even prison for gross negligence
I don't think I've seen a cow move around so much before. You were so caring and patient with her during what I'm sure was extreme pain. You are truly doing what you were born to do! 🌲Merry Christmas from New Hampshire USA!! 🧑🎄⛄🫂👋
Hey! Merry Christmas from Derry!
@@zeus6793 Hey Z, 🎀🎄Merry Christmas to you too!! ⛄🧑🎄
A Happy Christmas to the Graeme and family, Craigie boy and Kev and their families and All of us in the Herd . Finally lots of love to the cows. They couldn’t be in better hands. I love the way u care for these animals Graeme. God bless you and love from hot old Australia 🇦🇺♥️🐄🐂🐃🎄🥛🍼♥️🙏
@@user-ed8bk6rz9ssummertime Christmas! I’ve been to Australia, we arrived on the first day of Autumn and stayed for three weeks. It was glorious. (We were there a few years back, just a year before the covid outbreak.)
Happy New Year!
@@KC-603you have exposed yourself I AM COMING TO YOUR HOUSE
I think this, for me, is the first time I've seen a video where your effort hasn't come out with a near perfect result. It's good for us to see what happens when something doesn't go as planned, but you also need to congratulate yourself for the first trim was a rough one, and this follow up was exactly what she needed.
It was interesting to see what he's always said-- How things can go downhill if the trim isn't thorough at getting all the little slivers. Obviously, I wish this poor cow hadn't been an example because it was obvious the pain she was in, but since she was in the state she was, being able to see it really underlined the words he's said a thousand times.
That looked so sore! Poor lassie. Glad you were able to get it all off, giving her the best chance to heal. No wonder she didn't want you to touch her foot. I'd have been screaming the place down!
"Sometimes it will get worse, before it can get better". One of those sayings that seems counter intuitive but is, in fact, true. So glad she has turned the corner and can look forward to being pain free.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤
Something about that emphatic "no." at 4:01 really moved me. It was just one word, but having watched your videos for some time, i felt like it conveyed the depth of your experience and your unwillingness to risk hurting the cow. That single word held so much conviction and empathy thst it felt like the essence of the video was boiled down into it.
Love your commitment to these animals, as always. Keep up your amazing work!
I searched for this comment before writing the same, because that was definitely the moment he decided "enough is enough" and it was just too risky to keep doing the same method. You can tell those niks REALLY bothered him. He shows true empathy and care and that was the most beautiful moment of this video in my opinion.
He said "Now". His accent made it sound like no
We've heard no and now in his accent. I for one have watched MANY of his vids. That was 100% a "no". Anyone who's been in a similar situation regarding morals/ethics/empathy decisions will 100% understand that very moment.@@LookTyler
@@LookTyler yes 👍 lol
I 🤔 I am watching now😀
You’re human. We all miss things sometimes. You rarely make mistakes and you’ve done your absolute best to treat her. She’s on the road to recovery.
Im a butcher, having to do the opposite of what you do pains me to no end. It is a very difficult job having to do what i do that i come to your channel to see you be gentle and carring to these animals so that my mental state doesnr go to far to the other side. Thank you for doing what tmyou do! One of my favorite channels.
Be kind to yourself and remember people rely on you for food. He's doing his job caring for the cow during their lives and you're helping care for people in theirs.
@@janeenschultz8502 thank you for the kind words, that's what my family tells me and I do believe it to be true. It's still difficult but many people do rely on that food so I try and not be to hard on myself for it.
@@jesse3760 You're welcome! Your work is a blessing, not a curse.
People don't rely on butcher's for food, they can literally go and buy anything else. There's no reason to eat animals these days; it's not about survival anymore, it's about priorities. People prioritise their own desires over the animal's right to life.
@@MoleskinemanSorry, but no. You're wrong, and that's that. You're in a privileged situation where you can afford and obtain alternatives to meat. Some people's bodies can not live off a meatless diet. If you deny this, you're just ignorant.
Oh that poor dear cow. Thank you for being so gentle and compassionate with her. I am hopeful she is well on her way to total recovery now.
I agree with @JMS-2111.
I wanted to let you know how much we all really appreciate you and your videos. I am a US Veteran who suffers from PTSD with a myriad of other mental health issues. The support group that I am in, wants you to know that you have greatly improved our lives!!! 💙💙💙💙
Whenever we get severe anxiety, panic attacks, disassociation events or similar MH issues, our support network reaches for your videos. We have no idea why your videos ground us and bring us back from the brink of that astronomical chasm called our mind, but you do. Thanks for listening!!!😊
Mee too I'm suffering from anxiety and panic attacks but ur video will give me peace for sometime
It’s amazing that these videos are found to be so grounding. Maybe it’s the methodical work, perhaps it’s the connection to the animals. However it works, I’m glad it helps you, and thank you for your service.
🤝
How amazing and wonderful---and kind of you to let him know. Thank you for your service and I hope you all are doing well. 💕
Best thing I’ve seen on the internet in awhile. You dropped this 👑
This was so heartwarming to see that there's a way to recovery for this cow. It looked so painful. Thank you Graeme, Kevin and Craigie Boy for working so hard to make other creatures thrive.
Sometimes things go south no matter what you do. Don't beat yourself up, Graeme. You cowboyed up and did what you needed to do to help that lady. I'll be looking forward to the follow-up. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
That poor cow. I’m glad you’re taking a pro-active approach to getting it back on the road to recovery.
Poor moo moo 😢 hopefully she'll be on the road to recovery
This one made me cry to see her in so much pain that even the slightest touch... I know what that pain is like. I have fibromyalgia along with another inherited health issue that, when they flare up together, the tiniest touch is like being whipped with a white hot chain. It's not fun but it's life. Luckily, the two conditions don't flare up together at the same time very often.
Looked so painful! Thank you for giving relief and beginning the road to recovery! ❤
Sometimes things need to get worse before they get better, especially when dealing with a living creature be it a beautiful cow or a human. Least this cutie had you and the farmer to help her get this issue on the road to recovery.
Hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and an amazing new year 😊💖😊
I was trying to watch other trimmers' channels the other day when I came across a video where someone had commented saying that they refused to watch the Hoof GP; "that guy's a butcher," they claimed.
I honestly cannot begin to imagine what they were talking about - I haven't been able to find another channel I can watch precisely because THEY all seem rough and careless compared to Graeme!
(Emphasis on seem, because obviously I'm not an expert and I don't necessarily want to put any other channels down; I just prefer to watch Graeme.)
Graeme, the delicacy with which you start your cuts always impresses me. The cows of Scotland are lucky to have you.
Thank you for your care and attention to this cow. That looked incredibly painful. Hopefully, she will feel great relief and her hoof will heal properly soon.
I hope the cow gets better. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Save many cows.
The emotions in your voice is heartbreaking. You are so caring and and careful and it's amazing to see. ♥
I’m in love with your trimming and caring for the cows mistakes happen for all of us but we learn from them 😊❤I love your Channel
@@RoshiToshi-yc2ft what is your problem?
My heart really goes out to these cows I don’t trim hoofs but have learned a lot watching over the years every major video leaves me in awe of what you bring to them in hopes for a faster healthier recovery thank you
Graeme, That poor cow's hoof actually brought me to tears. The poor girl. I hope she gets well quickly.
Can we get an update on cow 137? The one with the keratin fingers?
Hey gentle men,
Thanks for sharing your videos with us. It definitely gives an insight into what you do and how gentle you are with the livestock. How blessed are they to have such caring people. 😌
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and new year 😊
Looking forward to seeing how this lovely lady's hoof heals, poor thing ❤
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
I find your videos so calming and comforting, knowledgeable.Worried what I'll get excited to watch if you ever stop uploading. Please don't stop uploading your wonderful content!!
Hello from Tampa Florida. Been watching you for along time. Love your channel. We have cows and have learned a lot. thank you
This might sound like a silly comment but can u give them pain relief?
Oh my goodness, Graem, I could see it before you touched it! I have been watching you for quite some time now and I saw it! I was so proud of myself for diagnosing it!😊 I love the way you’re so gentle and patient with them! You are doing what you are truly meant to do! ❤❤
Gee, it's a tricky job you do, but thanks for doing it!
Praying that this hoof is on the way to recovery!
I wouldn’t blame yourself as you have no idea what this particular cow was into since the last trim. You are so conscientious to doing a great job on each and every cow. You really care for these cows….and that comes through on the videos. Keep up the great work? I have learned a lot. My grandmother lived on a farm in southern Minnesota USA. I think she had one cow; chicken coup; and a very old farm house that she lived in. I love going there!. Love, Nancy, Nashua, NH
She felt that a few times. That's got to be hard because you don't want to cause pain but some is inevitable. God Bless and Have a very Merry Christmas. 😀😀👋👋💖💖
Oh that poor baby, the pain she has been in was horrible. So glad you are helping it to stop the pain. 🥰
I felt so so sorry for her, ouch! So glad you can take care of her and clear tbe infection. We wish her well . 😢🐄💚🩺
Poor dearie 🐄…hoping this puts her on the road to recovery! This is an example of why re check videos are so instructive…making certain recovery progresses.
Its not your fault Graeme, this is life.❣ and this is why you are here and God has placed you here💗
I remember this trim Graeme - I can tell by the shape and aside from that, I only see the trims you show us and not hundreds per day 😊 Poor girl. She’ll get better this time around. 😊
EXCELLENT SKILLS WITH CAREFULLY PRECISE CUTTING‼️
I hope she'll be feeling much better after this ❤
I initially wanted to say you are brilliant, but you are God-gifted to help those cows and to give us some relaxation at the end of some very long days. Which makes me wonder how you guys wind down. I’m a nursing home administrator. You’d probably be entertained by my days, as well! For example, Ms. L decided today she would leave her wheelchair behind and take up Ms. D’S walker. She was going down a hall where she doesn’t live to meet the man who brought her a big truck. While another staff member was beside her to ensure she wouldn’t fall, I was beside the lady who now had no walker. Ms L refused to let go of the walker and was leading the other staff member on a merry chase. Meanwhile, lady without her walker sat down in Ms. L’s wheelchair and allowed me to take her to dinner in the dining room. Ms. L eventually made it to the dining room, but refused to let go the walker. Staff will rearrange when they both go to bed, I suppose. How I love them! Even the mean ones! What joy they bring to my life, as I hope I do theirs!
I used to be a carer never a dull day 😂
with how many cows you take care of on any given day i don’t know how anyone could expect you to remember every single trim. and i don’t think this is your fault. you did what you could the first time around but life happens and all that matters is that you went back and trimmed her again and relieved her pain and did everything you could to make her better. i literally didn’t even know hoof trimming existed until i saw one of your video’s one day and now i’m hooked lol. i love watching your video’s and i love how much you genuinely care about every single cow you see, it’s amazing. you’ve taught me a lot as well which i really appreciate. you’re the man! thank you for everything you do and for just being you 🙏🏻
You were so very gentle with her. You work with so many bovines, I don't know how you could possibly remember every one you have worked on. I'm sure she was feeling much better when you had finished.
It's always good to see Craigy Boy working! Miss his channel. Merry Christmas to the Parker family! May your 2024 be even better.
Your doing a wonderful job with all the cows you take care your a God sent.
This reminds so much of doing tree work. It's technical but also intuitive.
Amazing honesty showing why you are an amazing person,
Please can we get an update on this hoof in the future?
it’s not that crap happens in life but what we do about it that counts. Nice job mate!
Hi, you often mention, that cleaning the feet before trimming isn't useful, because it would take a massive amount of time. What if the cows cleaned their feet themselves? We humans use boot scrubbers for decontamination. What if one built a cow sized hoof scrubber? Cows absolutely LOVE to use scrubbing posts. Why shouldn't they love a hoof scrub, too? Whoever wouldn't love a good hoof scrub? I'd love it for sure. It could also help them get rid of stones and other debris slightly stuck to their sole. And i know you could teach cows to use them, because they're smart as heck. Could that be a feasible way to improve hoof health in general?
Poor girl 😢 Hopefully she will heal quickly
Your a earth Angel to these cows.. merry Christmas To you and you family ❤❤
Also you have given relief to so many and you were so gentle and caring knowing how sensitive the area was. You take your work seriously and you are a great healer 😊
Aw, poor girl, hope she'll recover soon 🙏 merry Christmas to you all 🎅
Please give us an update as soon as possible on that poor cow. I hope she is on the road to a healty hoof and no more ouchies.
Merry Christmas. We are blessed to have a chance to see behind the scenes when you’re saving cows.
I hope that you’re not too hard on yourself regarding this cow.
Even with humans, medicine is not just science but it’s an art. It’s even more of an art with cows, since they hide weakness and injury as part of their survival instincts.
Please make sure to practice some self-compassion here. You made sure to take care of her this time so that she is no longer suffering. You did what you’re supposed to do.
Sending love, compassion and well wishes from Seattle.
I so appreciate how gingerly you treat these beautiful animals.
I always worked in the hospital. I don't know how I wound up watching what you do, but I want you to know that my cousin David owns two veterinary offices and he needs to watch you too.
Thank you for bringing comfort to farm animals ❤. Farmers do care and so to caretakers as Hoof GP.
Poor momma! Glad you got to it soon enough with compassion and honesty❤.
Poor sweet baby. Thank you for helping her.
I was stressed just WATCHING you trying not to cut into her! Very nicely done though, and I'm sure she will be doing much better asap. And well done to the dairy staff for making sure that she is in the yard for you to see. Teamwork for the win!
Merry Christmas to you and your family and I hope the new year is good for you ❤
These beautiful cows have the loveliest eyelashes and beautiful thoughtful eyes. Makes it so easy to love them 😍. Thank you for caring for them
Can we all take a moment to appreciate just how gentle he is even with the grinder?
You really get a sense for how hard the hoof horn is in this one.
As someone who only knows what I've learned from watching your vids, how come you didn't start off with the grinder to get rid off the hard top layer?
Awesome job as always, but she feels a ton better now! You're so amazing with the work you do, and I'm happy to be part of the herd!
Bless the wee coo….she has you and the guys looking after her and as previous comment. Human GP’s very rarely put their hands up to admit them….well done team. Enjoy your Christmas. Hae a wee dram ❤❤❤
Yikes that looked so painful. Hopefully u will do an update when she is on the mend.
And this, this is why I watched this channel. The honesty that Craig shows when he is trimming the cows, even when he may or may not have missed sometime during a trim.
Thank you for all your videos this year!
Love ❤ and greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas 🎄 to you all!
So incredibly sad. Thank you for choosing this profession, the cows really need you.

Merry Christmas to everyone at the Hoof GP
Poor girl. I hope she gets better soon :(
This one made me grimace. Thank you for helping her. Hope you have an excellent Christmas!🎁
Hope this heals for this nice cow!! I was several times at a cow farm I tell u the farmer sleeps sometimes and don't care the cows!!!!
Thank God for the Hoof GP and hoof trimmers as a whole, these cows would be in serious trouble without them~!
The poor girl. So glad you are there to help alleviate her pain
Doctors got it easy. Their patients can tell them where it hurts. Xrays and Cat scans are easy to obtain for people. But the vet or our hoof trimmer has to use visual cues. Can they stand, can they walk, do they limp, is it the hoof, the knee or a hip? I think they do an amazing job helping a mute patient. They can't look inside a cow, but they can reach inside. In the old days before latex or plastic gloves, you could always recognize the vet at the grocery store. He was the guy in rubber boots and had one green sleeve. Old Oregon Dairyman.
Well, I tried helping by grunting for you as you worked on that super hard hoof!
I realized I was holding my breath and tightening my arms! I think we did a bang up job of helping! 😆
You do outstanding work, sir. Thank you.
Poor old Bessie. Glad you're taking care of her.
The poor dear cow! I know how you value these animals and commiserate with the pain they are in. You are just what she needs! 💜
I’d like to say a merry Christmas to you, your family, working family and all those gorgeous moo moos that give me the best milk for my cuppas everyday. Love and best wishes to all and everyone of you xx
This seems the most drastic video I’ve seen the corium was exposed so quick
Bless her you are downing an a,axing job it looks so raw
There is not many channels that I watch every single video that's uploaded! I could count them all on just 1 hand! But I DO with this channel! And I am subscribed to literally hundreds and hundreds of channels for context!
Poor baby! Great job as always!
So many people that do animals harm, and then there is you
Bless you and happy holidays from The Netherlands💙🎅🥂🎄✨
I'd be very curious if she got salicylic acid or the green spray (Rapiderm, it might be called?) last time, because I sometimes see feet with open wounds with just iodine and no wrap being put down on this channel, and I feel like that's going to be bad news one of these days.
I can honestly say that you are doing the best you can for these cows. As you say, you're not a vet so you do what you know
You have such a talent by just looking at a cow's hoof and knowing what to do for her!!!
Merry Christmas Graeme , family, Craig, Kevin and team. Much love from Launceston, Cornwall. 🎄🎅🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄😍😍🤩🤩
I love how much you care for these cows.
Thank you so much for being as gentle as you can be with these gals
Thanks for the video!

Wow that looked like a tough trim!
Poor girl, that had to be so painful. Looking forward to an update on her. Side question: are her dew claws on the verge of being too long? How long is too long?
