    DIYers need to pay attention to these details. Me included.
    I'm working on installing a new radiator and components,(hoses, thermostats, flushing the system...) so reviewing the install after a few weeks for proper fit is important.
    I suspect this was, in fact, a DIY job.

    I have the J20 engine 2.0 for my 2006 grand vitara (used) when I bought it I didn't cmtake off the cover of the engine cause it drove ok. When I brought it to my mechanic to do some work he lifted the cover and 2 of the coils were just loose. One of the coils was broke in half and the other coil was not even for that year model. The seller had someone cut the cable for the coil plug and switch the wires and also changed the plug so that the different coil could work. Got two new coils, change them and change the wire back. Everything worked well after. Still have a bit of work to do but got to becarful when buying used cars always do a full maintenance on it before you start driving it around.

    If you want interesting fix on that 2.7l, try changing the damn water pump. I love my 2008 Vitara but it’s on its second water pump and it leaks too. They put it under the timing chain cover so you have to disassemble the whole front of the motor, remove the intake, and take off the passenger side valve cover to get it out.

    Video ideas, you and Andrew Camerata collaborate on some videos. You go fix stuff with him and he can go explore places with you. Also, I notice myself getting excited to watch videos of ongoing projects like Matt’s off-road recovery channel is building an off-road rig out of an old Corvair wagon and Mistie1 channel has a ton of videos diagnosing what killed and old engine and trying to get it to run again. Hope this helps.

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man I really appreciate the ideas. Doing videos with camarata would be awesome, but he's pretty far away and it's kind of tough asking somebody who has 20 time subscribers to do a collaboration. Was just up there recently snowmobiling and riding UTV's. Shot a little bit of footage with him. And yeah starting a big project would definitely be a good call. Thanks again for the input

    The owner of this GV has completly abused his car. He didn't even pick up his trash nor clean the car a bit SMH. Look at all the mud on the carpet. I bet the interior smells like feet. And what happened to the radio? got stolen? can't find $100 to buy another one? radio not required to make car run properly? The owner needs training on how to respect and treat vehicles properly and be charged extra for having to work on his bio hazard hazmat vehicle

    It's a good motor but the engineering and the way it's put together is a terrible design. It's ridiculously complicated to remove the intake to valve cover gaskets and you need to remove the front cover to do the water pump even though the water pump is driven off a belt externally. There's also a two-piece oil pan that has some seal that can leak on the upper section of the oil sump and the motor needs to be removed.
