    For the break and clutch pedal just find a donor car that is a manual and unbolt the break and clutch assembly from the firewall. That's what I did for the 94 2 door Camry I'm building. I'm going to be swapping in a 97 2.2 5S-FE and 5 speed manual transmission.

    Love it man. I’ve got a 93 Camry and I love working on it too.

      Thanks! I got the idea from a photo I saw of some 22RE cover and just had to do something similar!

    Yo you think this is possible on a 2008 1zzfe?

    How did you get the balance shaft alignment pin off to mount the pickup and where did you get the windage tray

    • @projectyotato
      @projectyotato  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just grab the alignment pins with some channel locks and turn them back and forth as you pull them out- they're just pressed in. I got the windage tray and pickup from ATS Racing, because they have a whole bunch of them laying around.

    Yo dude, sorry if this is a stupid question but do you think that those headers would fit in a 91 celica? same engine and everything just dont really know if it would work. new to this stuff and you seem knowledgeable

      @projectyotato  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They won't, but Australian Performance Systems made them and they also have Celica headers- the engine mounts are in different locations between these chassis and so the headers are different. You can find them on eBay

    Brother how did you get the oil pan tube out? Mine is leaking like crazy and I can’t get it out

    • @projectyotato
      @projectyotato  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's just pressed in, grab it near the base with some channel locks or vise grips or something and turn it back and forth and pull on it until it slides up and out

    Where did you find those headers I can never find any that fit my 95

    • @bryanbyrd5980
      @bryanbyrd5980 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the stock header pipe from a 97 to 01 Camry.

      I’m not sure what part you’re referring to

      I think he means the baffled oil pan.

    what trans mounts are you using?

    • @projectyotato
      @projectyotato  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just a stock Camry manual trans mount. Might poly fill it for additional durability. We’ll see.

    • @isaacescalera5264
      @isaacescalera5264 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@projectyotato is that from the 03 camry and did the transmission come with those mounts straight from an 03 camry. people say that trans wiring harness will work do you know if that is true ? thanks dude. ur a real inspiration

    • @isaacescalera5264
      @isaacescalera5264 ปีที่แล้ว

      i mean 1999 camry

    • @projectyotato
      @projectyotato  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isaacescalera5264 from what I understand, the manual transmission for the 4 cyl from the 99 should be the same as the one I’m using. I don’t know for certain though, and the wiring harness might have some slight differences, but is likely extremely similar. For easy answers, I recommend you join the 3rd & 4th Gen Camry Krew group on FB if this is a project you are about to tackle. It’s an awesome community and I couldn’t be doing what I’m doing without them.

      I have a 97 Avalon with the 1mz V6 and I hate working on it and it has sludging and crankcase pressure issues. I prefer working on 4 bangers

    what did you use to cut the corner?

    • @projectyotato
      @projectyotato  ปีที่แล้ว

      A reciprocating saw. I ended up not running this way though. Sourced a proper MR2 pickup and windage tray.
