I've played D&D with family and friends since lockdown, and I've also gotten into plants since then (I have about 40 in my home and classroom). I have an alocasia dragon scale in a skull mug on the shelf that holds all of our D&D books. Fly your nerd flag, Claire!
My Alocasia Melo has only slowly lost leaves since I got it 2 years ago. This video actually made me go unpot it and see that it has no roots 😂 but surprisingly it had like 8 or 9 corms. Hopefully one of those ones will do better in my care
New plant mum here, in the past two months I’ve accumulated 13 plants. My favourites so far are my parlour palm, birds nest fern, bird of paradise and zz plant ❤️
You are absolutely correct about the Agloema plant. It has a very strong will to live, beautiful and easy to care for . It will tell you when it needs water, it goes limp. Mines love deep shade. Truly a lovely plant.
Great video. I'm 65 years old and only just getting into house plants 🪴 . I subscribed also because you tried DnD. I have wonderful memories from playing that. Looking forward to your next video.
Philodendron splendid is not a beginner plant by any means, but it is rewarding as it develops, and it seems happy in average room conditions. The leaf issue seems to be the theme; I've had to cut mine several times because the leaves would not start correctly. I am getting a fuller pot in the process lol.
Your Alocasia Jacklyn is incredible! I’ve been rehabbing one for my friend and it’s just put out a leaf 😄 Hopefully one day it’ll be as majestic as yours 😍 Love videos where we’re all being cheerleaders for our planty favourites, such a vibe 💚
I have five different bromeliads in my boa's bioactive vivarium and I am obsessed. They really seem to love the 70-90% humidity I have in there and two of them have flowered since being introduced! Other than that, I am still in love with my philodendron micans I put on a mosspole a year ago, gorgeous plant that has been really easy to take care of.
I'm loving my syngonium at the moment!! I've had it for a few years now but it's so exciting whenever it starts to grow heaps again. Also really enjoying my monstera deliciosa, a bit of a generic plant but i still find it beautiful. Enjoying your videos so much at the moment Claire, keep up the amazing work! 💚💚
I like the peperomia hope too. This was a fun video. I don't comment on every video, but I watch your channel and wanted to say keep up the good work 👍😊 Hi Joli and Ross
I just started a piece of my manjula on a pole and its starting to grow an im supet excited i love it so much so i decided to have 2 one trailing one climbing ❤️ thanks for the video
Hi Claire, Do you have your Alocasia Jacklyn in semi hydro as looked like soil in the video. I have a small jacklyn that seems okay but wondered if semi hydro would give it a boost. Keep up the great vids - always great to see others react like me to all things plants 😁
Such beautiful progress! I got more into houseplants just over a month ago because of you and I got a baby ficus abidjan that just gave me the first leaf in my care like two days ago, so that`s pretty exciting me. And I repotted Zeylanica snake plant last week and it already grew over a centimeter in that short time, it blew my mind!!! I'm really excited to grow my collection some more this year! Thanks for the inspiration, Claire 💛
I think you are the best plants person I’ve found on TH-cam! You explain everything and make it easy to watch. I’m lwearning so much watching you. Thanks❤️
😊 got some new plants for my birthday. So happy. Just from my local garden center (they have good stuff - not rare- and the people are great). It was a great birthday. Loved your videos. Plants do bring joy.
My peperomia incana is in a mix of 5 part orchiata bark, 1 part perlite and 2 parts fox farms ocean forest. It is growing like a weed. In 3 months it has doubled in size and is about a foot and a half tall.
Jacklyn looks amazing! How about rescued calathea? Presented several weeks ago and no update since then. A the moment I really love my hoya Welsh Mountain Zoo because her leaves are so big and glossy.
Ahhh! The little Jack and Sally!!! BTW, I finally bit the bullet and got 2 Hoyas because of you. That’s a good thing. A Krimson Queen and a Hoya Obovata Splash! It sure if my Krimson Queen is dying or just acclimating. Good thing I know how to propagate it (thanks for the knowledge!!). I also got the same lipstick plant you showed! Hopefully something grows well -(‘.’)- Really certain I’ll accidentally kill the main plant but the babies will survive and live on! Hopefully I also got a cutting of a Peperomia Hope (I think) I’m propagating. Here’s to killing and reviving my new plants!
I love most of my plants. The most sexy plant I have atm is the Anthurium Silver Blush. The most spectacular I think is my big Nepenthes carnivorous plant.
This might be off-topic, but I just remembered on your last video you talked about how the bathroom is where your plants go to die. Lol have you ever thought of putting grow lights in your fixtures instead of regular bulbs?
I’m also experimenting with semi hydro+ no drainage and soil. All the plants I switched over seem to love it! My current faves are my monstera adansonii mint, and Hoya snow cui silver
Hi!! Thanks for posting this. I love relaxing to your videos. Definitely plant goals, and I got an A. Jaclyn for my birthday!! Its so cooool Anyway, what is that huge, round-leaved plant in the background on the corner of your cabinet??
I love my Hoya linearis right now too! It flowered for me this spring already. Definitely need to be more vigilant about pest checking it, thank you for the tip!
Oh glad you have a full linearis it’s one of my fav plants. I am really enjoying growing a few new alocasia at the moment got such a pretty little pink bambino. My current favourite though is my rhipsalis paradoxia it’s just so stunning
Fun video. I try to keep things simple in my plant life and was thrilled to see two of my faves. I've had my manjula since mid May and love it. Mine gets some leaves with white variagation rather than cream and the white spots are susceptible to sunburn I'm discovering. Be aware of that. I've had my Hope since Valentine's Day. It, has grown a lot but my internodal space is pretty long on the new growth and the leaves a little smaller. Although yours is smaller, it looks more full. It's in my sunniest window ... east with a hint of south. I have 10 peperomia and love most of them. The verdict is still out on the graveolens Ruby Glow as succulents don't like me. I would love to see any other peperomia in your collection!!
I am currently waiting for my calathea maui and geogenanthus ciliatus that I ordered from Etsy. Do you have those plants? The former is so simple and elegant and the latter is so bold! I can't wait to get them! I am also very impatiently awaiting the delivery of my variegated alocasia frydek that I also ordered from Etsy. I saw it for the first time on your channel.
Maybe you can still save the corms from the prop box? I guess it depends if they sprouted but I heard they can stay good/dormant for a long time and still come back. Good luck!
Heyy so I was just watching Nick Pillegi’s latest plant tour video and he introduced the PEPEROMIA BOIVINII which he explains is just like the hope but more blue toned and I thought, that could be right up your alley! You probably have already heard of it but I wanted to pop over here to tell you about it 💚 Btw I love the Aglaonema stripes! We have a bunch of plants at my work place and I saw it one day and took a picture of it cause I just fell in love 😊 It’s on my wishlist for sure 💚 I was eyeing yours in the background and I perked up when you grabbed it to talk about haha~ I’ve added the cutlass to my wishlist as well after seeing it in your videos 😉
Claire, I'm enjoying your explanations and affection for hoya varieties from Seoul~ Do you use a circulator inside the cabinet? You mentioned the heat and light but didn't talk about the ventilation. It gets quite cold in winter in Seoul, so it is the most difficult season to keep my plants alive. I've recently developed a love for hoyas so I'm learning quite a lot from your channel. Thanks for the valuable information and showing all the exotic, magnificent, sometimes weird hoyas~~
I have that same stupid box and also thought it would be airtight. I had some excess soil, placed it in there and then placed it on my deck to get it out of the way. *sigh*
Anthurium pallidiflorum and Linearis shown together, my two favourites. You mentioned the AP being repot, did you do that on camera? where you possibly talk about substrate. Can not wait for my Linearis to look like yours
Always love your videos and got a peperomia hope nearly a year ago after admiring the one in your collection! It wasn’t growing well so I chopped it but the new leaves seem to remain small and not fuller as the the original ones. Any ideas? It’s currently in semi hydro, under a grow light and fertilised frequently with liquid gold leaf
Can you make a video on the regale care? Is it on a pole? I got one recently that suffered terribly in transit. It is recovering in perlite at the moment.
Well i just bought a baby rubber plant over a week ago, a variegated one, and it's leaves started fading and some started falling, i don't know if that's excessive light or i just watered it early or it's lack of humidity, i'm just lost.
I have many rubber plants They hate to be over watered and yes the leaves will start to fall ( quickly) I wait till they are very dry before I water I have low humidity and they are all in a "shady" window You might need to take a look at the roots and re pot if the soil is too wet
Hi! I have the ruby varrigated rubber plant. The one with white, green, and lots of pink in the leaves. It's in a very bright pretty warm window and I always check it BEFORE I water it. If it's even damp; I don't water it. I wait till it's dry then I throughly water it.😊💚💚💚
May you can help me...do you need to change the places of your plants vom summer to winter (other conditions)? I really have problems for summer..silly plants ... in winter all is goog. :)
Hi i had the peperomia hope before twice but it just grew leggy and the new leaves always stay curled. Which i gave up on it is a nice trailing plant if the growth is consistent good. Also your dog sorry is kinda out of topic what breed is it? We saw a dog that i was interested in that says a mix lurcher and your dog looks a bit like it has a mix greyhound and if it is. I am afraid to adopt it in case is massive size like a greyhound which definitely don’t want when fully grown. Thanks
Ok, thought about asking this every time you mentioned comicon, and now you mentioned D&D so I have to ask... are either of you familiar with Critical Role or High Rollers?
I now have 107 plants because of you 😂 my partner thinks I need help!
😂😂😂 I started watching Claire during my divorce and as I got his "space" back in my house, I added 30 plants 😉 Husband out, plants in.
@@Planty.Q hmmmm 🤔 interesting. Chuck the other half out = more space for plants! 😂
I think we can learn a lot from the plant community. But one of my favorite things is the pure delight and savoring of the little things 🥰
That's wild! I wish i could go that long without opening my prop boxes. I need more things to do, clearly. I check them every dang day.
I've played D&D with family and friends since lockdown, and I've also gotten into plants since then (I have about 40 in my home and classroom). I have an alocasia dragon scale in a skull mug on the shelf that holds all of our D&D books. Fly your nerd flag, Claire!

I hear most people say when you have a linearis you always need to have safe cuttings somewhere in case things go wrong with pest.😊
Great video. I'm 65 years old and only just getting into house plants 🪴 . I subscribed also because you tried DnD. I have wonderful memories from playing that. Looking forward to your next video.
Most of my plants are making me happy at the moment 💕 They are all taking off with the increased light 😀🇨🇦
Philodendron splendid is not a beginner plant by any means, but it is rewarding as it develops, and it seems happy in average room conditions.
The leaf issue seems to be the theme; I've had to cut mine several times because the leaves would not start correctly. I am getting a fuller pot in the process lol.
My Jacklyn is also one of my favorites right now!! The new leaves are so exciting to watch unfurl!
I love my Melo and it does have the most amazing looking leaves. Mine is finally giving me a new leaf !
The Aglonema stripes was catching my eye the whole video, so pretty!

I want a pallidiflorum so badly! They're so cool looking. Just a little pricey right now where I am. Yours is so stunning.
I just started a piece of my manjula on a pole and its starting to grow an im supet excited i love it so much so i decided to have 2 one trailing one climbing ❤️ thanks for the video
I have a manjula that I put on a pole about 2 years ago and the leaves are getting bigger and more beautiful than the last
One of my all-time favourites is my sundew because it eats fungus gnats 😁
Yes, I too love mine dearly because of that xD
Hi Claire,
Do you have your Alocasia Jacklyn in semi hydro as looked like soil in the video. I have a small jacklyn that seems okay but wondered if semi hydro would give it a boost.

Passiflora Trifasciata is my favorite plant right now! It reminds me of dinosaur footprints
Was regretting not picking up a manjula pothos from Lowe’s a few days ago… this video encouraged me to run out and purchase it 😂
My peperomia incana is in a mix of 5 part orchiata bark, 1 part perlite and 2 parts fox farms ocean forest. It is growing like a weed. In 3 months it has doubled in size and is about a foot and a half tall.

First time being the first person to watch your videos maybe my lucks changing
All so beautiful! 😊

It's beautiful your collection
At the doctor's, it is perfect timing.
Wow Claire. Your Hoya linearis is pure magic. Goals. One day! Beautiful plant babies today!! Thanks for sharing them. Sending love from FL 🌱

I really REALLY want an anthurium pallidaflorum lol till then, I can lust after yours. So pretty!
Can you make a video on the regale care? Is it on a pole? I got one recently that suffered terribly in transit. It is recovering in perlite at the moment.
Hey Claire! Planted in Platinum just posted a video saying she was selling some Sinbad Begonia cuttings!
Hi! Lovely to see you as always. Are all your alocasias in pon?

My husband calls my Alocasia the plastic plant too. He has no idea what it is. :)
I love those peperomias!! ❤
My current obsession is my Peperomia frost
Give your ,anjula more light and it will become even more stunning with its colour
May you can help me...do you need to change the places of your plants vom summer to winter (other conditions)? I really have problems for summer..silly plants ... in winter all is goog. :)
My prop box did not work for me.
Is the Manjula pothos and happy leaf the same thing please? 😊

How are you and Ross doing?
Google says Jacklyn leaves can get up to 5 ft in nature, basically a small woman. Crazy!
❤❤❤❤❤
Ok, thought about asking this every time you mentioned comicon, and now you mentioned D&D so I have to ask... are either of you familiar with Critical Role or High Rollers?
What does your tattoos mean?
You didn’t know what to call your new hanging plant with the succulent round leaves. How about string of doggie ears 😄.
❤😊
👍👏❤️💕

8 prop boxes ? 🙈can we say ridiculous? Not looking in one for 5 months? Hmmmmmm
