The Band of the Scots Guards are always good & this Parade is no different. The Acoustics as they marched across the Forecourt of Buckingham Palace were Phenomenal!. They still sounded great when they exited the Palace, Marched around the Queen Victoria Memorial, up the Mall to St James Palace. "Holyrood" is a speciality of The Scots, as you would expect & they didn't disappoint. I think that is the new Grenadiers Drum Major leading them, DM Michael Beasley & he did a terrific Job. Thank you Mr Military Events! A great Video, very well filmed. Thanks for sharing it
The first 5 seconds of this video have absolutely amazing acoustics! Exactly what a military band should sound like. They play well regardless, but the first few seconds (as the kids say) hit hard.
Scott's Guards, luv their bagpipes, you also have welsh Guards, Brittish Guards, part n parcel of the UK... all a little different, but great .. you can tell who they are, by the colour plumes, in their bear skins, Irish have 💙 Welsh have 🤍 n 💚 , Coldstream Guards have ❤️
@@valerielewis853 I think it's DM Michael Beasley, the new DM for the Grenadier Guards. The first time he was seen leading the Band, was the Orb & Spectre Musical Spectacular, early this Summer. He does do a good job.
@@meadowlands1937 Hello Meadowlands, it's not Sgt Potts, he did the Windsor Guard Changes this week. 2 days ago he was leading The Welsh Guards Corps of Drums, who was Musical Support to Windsor Castle. Earlier in the week he led The Band of the Irish Guards. I asked who he was as I couldn't remember seeing him before. Delvin-Pedia, said I probably had, but he was probably wearing his Corps of Drum Uniform. He has now been made a DM, he was wearing the DM Tunic & Baldric. He's far more energetic than this DM, who's wearing a Grenadiers Plume in his Bearskin, that would make him the New Grenadiers DM, DM Mike Beasley. The first time he led the Band, was at the Orb & Spectre Musical Spectacular this year. All the DM s have their own Unique Style for Directions DM Potts uses the slow rise of the hand & slow Signal to turn, very similar to SDM Gareth Chambers MVO. He also ends with a Chambers Flourish, as does DM Stu Laing. DM Potts' Flourish falls between DM Stu Laing & SDM Chambers MVO. He is also by far the most energetic DM I've ever seen, his pumping of the Staff to chest & back & his arm swing need to be seen to be believed. He also throws himself into his step off. A refreshing breath of fresh air.
Yes, only the British are able to play like that. I heard the French when King Charles III visited France. They are boring, they play always the same piece. Only the British turn me on.
The Brits put everything into the music ,band also looking amazing😅😮😊, n I luv their hobnail boots ...my Dad used to polish them, make them spiffy, from his days in the war...miss you my dauhling Daddy, he had so many medals n ribbons...🎉❤ ☑️🥈🌹

I can listen to military music any day, especially the Royal Marines Bands, love it.

The acoustics are always awesome on Buckingham Palace Forecourt. I think it's the size of the Palace & how the Music Bounces off it.
Another good one. Thank you
Great sound coming from the Bnd of the Scots Guards

Who is the Drum major today please very smart .?
@@valerielewis853 No drum major today. At the front is a Drum Sergeant Welsh Guards, most likely
Drum Sergeant Sam Potts.
