Really effective mod from what it sounds like and it doesn’t seem to cost close to anything! Im deciding between either doing this or installing an aftermarket box from the aftermarket sellers you mentioned. Great video as always!
You can’t go wrong either way my friend! If you do it yourself you can you around with how much you open it. Or get one of the aftermarket ones and your set as well! I’m glad you enjoyed! I appreciate you following along!
Hyperlite sells an airbox mod with a larger filter. Take the old one out and there is a metal plate with a mesh screen. It takes out that restrictive plate and opens it up with a larger air filter.
@@ThatGuy-771 Yes. I did the airbox first, and now I'm installing the fuel modulator, watching your video, and I have a new exhaust I bought off of Hyperlite. I did the suspension upgrades, and now a little more horsepower and it should make an already great trail bike even better.
@@cwalton56 absolutely! Heck yea brother! Love it. You’ll have to let me know how your setup works out for you. Especially the having the actual airbox. Obviously there isn’t much out there on these bikes which is why I do this so I am super interested to see how you like it. I’ll have some big stuff coming out here soon on a few more “add-ons” as well. I appreciate you!
1 more way to skin that cat, is buy cutting holes in the airbox door/cover and using the Uni vent filters (they are 1" i believe). I used all 5. Biggest improvement was switching to VP T4 tho. No lag, throttle response 100x better.
@@usmc03 I for sure will. I’ll snag me some for my trip to GA in a couple weeks and keep you posted. I appreciate that! Thank you very much!!! Should have a lot more here soon!
I cut my air box lid on my 2022 bike and I had a top end failure and Honda refused my repair said because of cutting the box lid they said it put dirt in my motor and caused the damage I said BS so I had to buy a new OEM top end just some info on you guys who have the Honda Warranty
@@MikeYoung-iz4gbyour clutch cover will get as hot as the engine internal temp. Without knowing the actual temp it’ll be hard to gauge. What kind of oil are you running as well?
Okay. Just making sure ya were running anything wild in it. But Yea it’ll be hot. Unless you have a way of telling the exact temp on that side cover. I wouldn’t worry. It’ll get as hot as internal temps though when warmed up
Awesome video! Are you running a skid plate and if so what kind would you recommend? I have a plastic one from Hyperlite but it seems really weak and I'd feel more confident with a metal one forsure.
Thank you brother! And yes I actually have a flatland racing and also have a little better view on one of my other update videos a couple back you may be able to see it better. I actually thought about the one from hyperlite but I don’t trust it when it comes to hard rocks lol I love it though! I’d for sure say for the money id get one if I was you! It ran great with just the exhaust. Gave it a little more “get up and go” I noticed. But I had the new sprocket on before the exhaust so I gained more torque before the exhaust. After the exhaust it helped it a good bit in my personal opinion. If you do the exhaust and open the airbox like I did you would be fine without a tuner. The tuner just helps you squeeze any leftover potential out of the bike honestly
An EJK is an Electronic Jet Kit. It’s a plug and play fuel programmer. It can add or take away fuel to your fuel infection system with the push of a button wether it be adding/ taking away fuel on idle, acceleration, deceleration, full throttle load etc Just helps if a bike I running to rich or leak. It is NOT A FULL ECU or a Tuner. I have a lean. But on newer videos I have are of a fully tunable ECU by Athlon from Force Cam
I did not notice a big difference. No HP gains IMO. The bike just seemed to run a hair smoother though I will say. Did not shut off as much on me afterwards.

Yea that’s what I figured hyperlite and CRFsonly.com I name dropped but I have not ordered one as of yet. Do you run the one from hyperlite??
Interested to see how ya like it if you do

@@liamspaliviero8105 glad to help brother!
Do you need to open the air box up with an aftermarket exhaust or will it run fine with just the exhaust
It will run just fine with just the exhaust. No need to open the airbox nope! Mine ran perfect without it as well for a good while.
Thanks for the help
Sorry meant run perfectly fine with just the exhaust. But no problem at all!
What would happen if I did this with a stock exhaust and no mods?
You would flood the bike with to much air.
What is a EJK ??????? Someone please tell me

Will this increase my hp at all?
