    Before we can embark on our music production journey, we need to familiarize ourselves with our tools.
    In the tutorial video above, we start from the very beginning: installing our DAW (digital audio workstation) and sounds library. For our DAW, we’ll be using Studio One 5, a powerful workstation that can be trialed for absolutely free, and for our sounds library, we’ll be using Splice Sounds, which allows us to pick and choose from millions of sounds.
    From there, we open up each and explore key windows, functions, and features, while also putting together a rough musical idea. Feel free to follow along with the exact sounds we’re using, or take some time to explore and pick whatever is exciting to you!
    This video is part of a larger guide for making your first track; once you’ve watched it and taken the time to get acquainted with these tools yourself, head back to our curriculum and move on to our introduction of music theory.

    Just a little tip : there's a much easier way to duplicate your sound parts. Select them and hit the D key as many times as necessary

    How would I alter the tempo of the sample in studio one if I want it to go faster or slower?

    Think I'll stick with Ableton ✌

    Thanks for the info. But having trouble with stretching out the sounds to make it longer. What did you do when you went into options

      Been a while since I’ve used Studio One. But drop the loop into studio one and adjust the tempo! That’s what I did.

    So you’re gonna just use whole loops and not even customize them at all? Or is this strictly to show Studio one?

    • @theolschoolblues
      @theolschoolblues 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      well considering the title of the video is "Start making music with Studio One 5 and Splice Sounds" you should have been able to figure that out yourself.

    • @CRASS2047

      @@theolschoolblues ooh that was deep. The point is, it’s taboo to just drag whole loops into a project and call it making music.

    Does the art work of the sample packs load to? I would like to export my sound t my external ride and have the kit artwork on the folder and show up if I want in Maschine or mpc
