Hey there, writing this out of desperation of sorts. I am currently in the final year of school (in germany) and we had to choose a topic for a paper to write about. So naturally i chose to create my own video game (in java). Our Teacher gave us some very basic "tutorials" (for example how to use a JBufferedImage). And from then on we made our own games. Well since i stumbled across your Java Tower Defence Tutorials Series (excellent series btw), i used parts of it for inspiration. Now my Teacher is telling me, that i will likely get 0 points, which would cause me to instantly fail the year, because i made my game by following the scene - controller approach to manage objects and not explicitly saying that i just used the Conzept for inspiration and didnt outright copy an existing engine and adding my own parts. Now he gave me the chance to "redeem" myself in the upcoming presentation about my game, by talking a lot about the Conzept and including as many sources as possible. So i wanted to ask you, if you were fine with me using your Tutorial Series as a Base of sorts (so that it isnt "Plagarism") and if you possibly have some good sources for this conzept since i could barely find any. Thanks a lot for reading this -Jannek
Hey. Glad you liked it :) I am unsure why you would fail because you used my game as reference. I dont have any "sources" other than old utube videos and some gamedev forums. You also have some basic java tutorials for drawing etc on oracles website. All my tutorials and code uploaded is opensource. Use them as you see fit. :)
best setup is stealing wifi from neighbors always works for me, its cheap, fast and wireless. also its kinda rude you offer to buy you a coffee and you dont even drink coffee very nice.
Lets GO! :D
