@CharlieMason people without a sense of humor don't go to comedy shows. If a whole crowd at a comedy club doesn't laugh at your jokes, then you failed.

She wasn't 'just talking'. What she was saying was written, rewritten, practiced and practiced and rewritten and practiced some more with and without an audience. She's got it down and honed. She's very sharp and has excellent timing, but what she's doing is not 'just talking'.

In defense of gym bros., a lot of us are working through psychological issues. By becoming fit and strong it helps us to feel better about ourselves. Many of us have past emotional trauma.

@@Sasquatchbones Being monotone is part of her thing, that's her style. Most of the jokes flew over the audiences heads because they would giggle a few seconds too late.
Maybe she should emphasise her punch lines a little better to accommodate an audience that's less comedy inclined.
@@odiseven Being monotone is the worst thing you can be as a comedian. There's like handful of such comedians who are really great, the rest just suck. As they're just really bad copy paste imitators. Don't blame the audience for the lame performance. Not everyone should be a comedian and clearly she shouldn't.

As a fit guy who lifts, ya got me. I dont do it for looks or perception, i do it because its something where i control my progress and my results, i get out what i put in. I got really fucked in life by someone 7 years ago and the rest of my life since then has been damage control and doing everything i have to to get my life back on track, going to the gym and getting stronger is the one thing that doesnt effect (well, other than finances for memberships and nutrition, and amount of sleep i can get each night limiting my ability to recover after working out, but at least the part in the gym itself)
Brother, I really hope that you are able to do the internal work and not just the physical. As men we don't get the support for that until we completely break down emotionally and they find us we face planted and unable to get up. And it's really screwed that we are raised as boys and young men to pretend we can just shut it all off like a stone wall. 'Cause men don't feel (except anger and drunk) so there's nothing to discuss or for God's sake to not cry about. It cripples us. It makes us find other ways to 'prove' we're ok, strong, and emotionally fit....even when deep down we're scared s-less, because if we're honest we don't feel 'fit'. When we were cavemen we needed different things to survive, but times have changed, but we're still teaching the next generation the same bs we got handed, like our father and his father and his father were taught.
So I say this with the ultimate respect...I hope you give yourself the opportunity to get strong inside. I'm not gonna lie, it will be the hardest f'ing thing you ever did without running, but it's worth every, freakin', minute.

Its still hard bcs my life is hard, but im in a good enough space to keep moving forward and appreciate what i do have. As soon as i get things fixed i think ill be able to really appreciate it and be in a good place. Thanks for spreading an important message.

Im with you on the journey. First time really lifting heavy and trying to progress. I say the same thing but before my workout. “This is gonna hurt, but we have to do it” pain is just our weakness leaving the body.

As someone who kinda accidentally slipped into the gym world, this is hilarious. Cherry on top are the ex military dudes wearing the shirts saying, "Pain is weakness leaving the body."
When i was a scrawny kid starting to wrestle and workout, i lived by that expression and it genuinely helped rationalize the struggle of working out. I weighed like 130lbs soaking wet I needed to get bigger

I actually am with the crowd on this. This set was not funny enough for the darkness of her content. KC shornima is dark but she matches it with the humor. Of course she is way funnier and braver than I am. And like there have been days when I have written bad computer code this could be her bad day as well. And I hope what she gets what she wants from life.
