I have 1 model before your model vstrom, had a lot of buffeting, made feel sick at times.. Then I bought a givi airflow, little less buffeting, kept messing around in higher settings. Then I took it by off chance as low as possible and tilting back a little, wow, what an improvement..and as a bonus it even looks better!
Just bought this, based on your review and a couple of others. I think the Akaso 6+ seems like the best pick in their range - superior pictures and Image stabilisation compared to the others (in my opinion). I have another cheap Action cam - It was my first - just bought as an experiment. It was good, but not good enough to motovlog. This will be my second one. I bought it with the mike. A pretty cheap way to Motovlog. It will hopefully work with my helmet, which is very cheap and noisy. OOOooohhhh fingers crossed. I might glue some velcro to hold the mike on, or just a rubber band or something. Great vid. Quite excited now :) Cheers, Campbell from New Zealand.
Appreciate the feedback and good luck with the Akaso. The same camera that I reviewed in the video still works and I use it. The only downside is the mic not always being plugged in and the stabilization isn’t as good as GoPro. Hence the price
@@YevZakharov Yep:) GoPro is REALLY expensive tho. From what I've seen, out of the budget cameras, the 6+ has the best stabilisation. Maybe a second-hand, or older model GoPro could be better, but this offers good sound too. The Akaso 7LE doesn't have such great image stabilisation. Its colour and contrast are more striking and make the 7LE look sharper, but I'm pretty sure a colour correction of 6+ footage, in post, would yield a very similar picture quality/look. Of course, you need some software for that. I'm using Filmora, which is pretty good and easy to use.
@@YevZakharov Yeah it is cool. I think a bit prettier than the VStrom (Although the shape/model you have is wayyy nicer than the 03Vstrom). I think the VStrom is a much better road bike though. You can eat sportsbikes on a twisty road. It is also faster - the engine punches harder (The AT is a little wimpy). I raced my 03 - only mod was different handlebars, the standard bars are revolting. Actually just bought different bars for my AT, although the stock bars are pretty good. Cheers from New Zealand.
I got a question about my akaso brave 6 plus.. it only makes short videos when I’m out on my motorcycle. I do not have it in loop recording mode. I have it in normal. I also have it in the lowest speed, I think it’s 2.4 at 30 frames per second. The issue I’m having is, I turned it on, and it will run for maybe 10 minutes or five minutes I didn’t really time any of them. But then it chops that video and starts another one automatically. I’m using a 128G SD card. by the way, it makes great videos, and my videos that I have on TH-cam before I got this camera. Don’t have stability control. I can see the improvement with this camera. also, I mount my external microphone which I bought on eBay for something like $10 inside the ear pocket of my full face helmet, and I don’t get much wind roar, if any, no matter, if I’m riding my big bike with a big windshield, or my small bike with just a fly screen windshield. I am very pleased with the results with the external microphone over the external microphones for my sena prism tube camera with external mic, and my GoPro hero three with aftermarket from TH-cam external mic. Those were not nearly as good as the brave 6.. So what am I doing wrong with my camera only makes short videos. Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting, I was going to ask you if you were using your Shuberth or a less expensive helmet but saw the vid to the end and it really made a difference. I have the new Neotec 2 helmet plus and older C3 Pro, both very quiet when riding. Big difference when standing, clean air is alway better due to most windscreens cause buffeting. Good demos as was your last video on the Akaso, been debating between this camera and the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Can't really beat the price for the features, probably customer service lacks a bit though.
Yeah the C3 Pro is very good, other than the bike’s windscreen creating noise. I actually haven’t had to deal with Akaso’s customer service yet, but they seem like a pretty interactive company. You know, with all honesty, you cannot go wrong with a GoPro... But if you do go with AKASO, consider the new Brave 7 LE.
@@YevZakharov I have seen comparisons between the 7 LE & 6+, the sound w/o external mic's is better on the 7. I like the EIS much better on the 6+ though. I think the LE (Launch Edition) is to get users to work out the bugs for Akaso. I'm sure they will come out with the "Plus" version in the future.

I don’t really have footage of the distortion correction turned off. But you’re exactly correct: if you turn off image distortion correction, you get a bit wider view.
How to use it as a webcam? The pc recognizes it but does not show any image, only black, I don't know if I need a special driver or something, but at the moment I can't use it as a webcam following the steps, I hope you can help me, greetings from the UK Also what are the maximum sd card capacity ?
Unfortunately I’m not entirely sure how to set it up as a web cam for your PC. As far as SD capacity, I’m currently running a 256gb in mine and it’s recognizing it. No issues thus far.
@@YevZakharov Hello, thanks for answering, my question is because I saw that when connecting the camera with the usb c cable, a menu appears where it says: usb files then pc and load, when selecting PC the camera connects to the pc it recognizes it and when I enter skype I It gives the option to select the camera but the image is black, I don't know if I need a special driver or something, I saw that another guy on TH-cam connected action cameras as a webcam but I can't find the driver or the way to see the camera. camera, if you could check on your pc by connecting the camera by selecting pc and then see if it works as a web camera? Yes. I has a dashcam mode where it will go into a loop recording mode and also you can make the footage upside down if you mount it upside down in your car.
I use the link to order akaso mic on amazon, i have already paid the mic but amazon still not sending item. According to the email amazon will email me once they schedule for shipping. I purchased it first week October and paid it thru bank. i am disappointed on the way amazon is doing it. If Lazada only have that akaso mic for brave 6 plus, I would order from Lazada Philippines. I regret buying from amazon.

I actually haven’t had to deal with Akaso’s customer service yet, but they seem like a pretty interactive company.

how to control sir the wind noise?
Probably have to use the AKASO microphone inside your helmet. Otherwise not much you can do to avoid wind noise with this camera.
