- The auto restoration reality-television show “Chasing Classic Cars,” has been delighting car enthusiasts especially the hot rodders for the past 12 years. It was hosted by the master restorer, Wayne Carini, whose knowledge and skills in car restoration were passed on to him by his father. The hunt for the rare vintage automobiles along with the auto restoration process made it one of the most-watched TV shows on Discovery Channel’s cable network. The show will be on its 17th season next year, and fans were confused as to why there were rumors that the series had been canceled, when its social media accounts indicated that they have been filming new episodes for the next season.

Chasing Classic Cars is a solid favourite here in England. Long may it continue
what a dreadfully delivered voice-over ! Is it a computer generated narration? Awful. Also the content lacked any reasons why the tv show ended or even that it has. Utter click-bait title meets dreary presentation.
Is the show continuing or not? The video further confuses the issue.
Roger Barr needs his own show.
You and I would watch that show - don't know if it would have that "mass appeal" though - I'm sure the TV producers would argue against that - in much the same way they ran Edd China out of Wheeler Dealers.
I met Wayne in 2016 at concours d'elegance minicar gathering. I found him and asked him to take a picture with me. He did take a picture with me and it's still my computer's background picture. I love chasing classic cars episodes.
You never specifically said why it ended … just speculation..
Big fan. Went there a few years ago on a visit from England when Wayne was busy filming. Free to look around and very friendly staff. Hope it continues.
I visited Wheels Through Time a while back and got to meet Dale before his passing of cancer but on display up stairs was the Spaun bodied BMW that Dale out bid Wayne for at an auction. There’s a bunch of iconic & historic bikes & bike based machines in that building but that was my favorite piece over all. It’s only about a half hour from my home but I’ve only been there twice, I dig four wheels more than two.
Hope the show comes back with occasional cameos from Roger Barr - I always loved the sections of him and Wayne working together to solve some problem car or engine.
No 'real reason' why the programme ended in this video!

Wayne is the Magician .. making it all happen .. not to mention a Very Good Driver .. Wayne could Drive any Make -Model - Year ..anything .. if asked to do so ! I made it 4:35 through the video, until the cadence of the narrator's voice drove me mad.
Yeah, I skipped along --same reason.Would have had to listen over to even understand some bits ,but didn't bother.

Your information about the Stutz Bearcat is all false. He didnt do any of it at F40, he had Evan Ide do it, and it took alot more than sparkplugs to get it going.

Start a new show with Roger! Filming him rebuilding everything from transmissions to fuel pumps. He has so much knowledge and the camera loves him

Wayne is an awesome man… I met him at a few car shows in CT. Takes time to actually talk to you.
Ive watched the program many many times, I can't recall seeing Wayne fix / repair/restore anything. But others on the show do.
Know what you mean. But he has worked on cars, like when he drove them in that rally. Another car he was driving to a speedway and got hot he had to fix. When he goes to his warehouse, those cars usually won't start, little mechanical work. But he's not like Fantomworks were he'll pitch in to meet a deadline.
He is a paint guru, mechanics he is okay, paint he is one of the best.

His knowledge of the auto history amazes me, and is a big reason I watch some episodes again and again.
Maybe he is smart enough to know his limitations and hires the best
In my opinion he just finds cars tries to get them running with minimum work or money spent then tries to get top dollar by saying its a very rare car

No, “real reason” discussed, only vague speculation leaving the viewer thinking that the show may be coming back after a pandemic imposed suspension. There, now you can spare yourself from watching, unless you want to hear a background story about Wayne that’s also not very interesting.
It all makes sense now. Wayne started with money. That's the only way to get that far.
