      the HOF is gonna hold it against Alexander that he played with Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson on his O-line, and be like "no the things he did were just because they were great." Its unfortunate but that's the truth.

    • @HipsterShiningArmor
      @HipsterShiningArmor 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Nicholas Williams Larry Csonka also played with 2 HOF offensive linemen. John Riggins and Emmitt Smith played behind some of the most famous offensive lines of all time. That didn't (and shouldn't) keep them out and it shouldn't keep Alexander out either.

    • @PaulGaither
      @PaulGaither 4 ปีที่แล้ว +101

      Davis helped change the game of football. Nobody had heard of "One cut" and zone running, but after TD, it took over the sport at all levels. Davis didn't invent it, but he was the tool that offensive line coach Alex Gibbs used to propel the Broncos to two Super Bowls, an MVP and a 2k yard season.
      Davis also proved it wasn't JUST the system, as, again, he got 2k yards and is in a very exclusive club of HBs to do it.
      I agree that Shaun will eventually make it, but don't disrespect Davis. His career, similar to Shaun's, was cut short.

    I'm a niner fan I haven't forgotten about Alexander, A very unselfish underrated player. I remember the 04 season when he was 1 yard shy of tying the rushing title with Curtis Martin and on week 17 Seattle had the ball at the end of the game on the 2 or 1 yard to score a touchdown and Seahawks substituted him with the back up RB and Alexander did not protest Mike Holmgren call.

I had to go to there barracks late one night to discuss the next days training anyhow they were off duty all wearing #37 Seahawks jersey's. Im from Washigton and have been a season ticket holder for the Hawks, so it was cool as a fan and as a soldier. In my whole 20 year career you dont run across many Hawks fans outside the PNW.

    As a Seahawks fan, I certainly never forgot about Alexander the Great! Easily one of the most underrated RBs, and one of the very best not yet in the hall of fame. His underwhelming post-MVP numbers and Tomlinson stealing his TD record the very next year are the two reasons I feel he's gone overlooked. That five year stretch from 2001-05 is legendarily good and deserves a lot more praise.
