    Its insanely heavy, but it works fine on my normal 15A kitchen outlet. It's basically a commercial machine capable of running on normal residential wiring. Wondering if its worth it to upgrade the interface to the connected version.

      "It's not light." - words spoken to my wife as I carried it into our condo on vacation recently. You're 100% correct. Honestly, I use the auto-on/off so much that I would consider it if I didn't have it. But also, as you know, it heats up pretty darn quick. If I'm working on the volumetric I'm using the interface on the machine because that just seems easier. I don't actually know how that works on the app, so now I have homework.

      Ok so the brew boiler is 96c and the steam boiler is 126c. Great results with both. I use a medium roast espresso. If I was doing dark roast I would drop it down a few degrees. The steamer “could” be lowered a few degrees as well if you wanted to.

      @@therobmcgee thanks bro appreciate it.. 🙏🙏 I'm sure that you work with the mini you think the machine that we have better? I can still change that to the mini if I want...

    • @therobmcgee
      @therobmcgee  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I wouldn't change to the mini. The GS3 brew boiler is much bigger and the steam wand is bigger and more flexible. The mini is great, but you'd be downgrading.

    Besides the things in your description what else would I need for the water pump for this machine? Also is Fiorenzato F64 E Coffee Grinder a good option for this machine?

    Have an AV myself for mobile coffee business. Been an excellent machine, but it does start to struggle a little if you're using the hot water tap too often for long blacks/americanos. Would you purchase I second if you were to upscale for larger events or go different brand/model?

      Same here. What a great question. I think rather than upgrade to accommodate hot water usage, I would explore having a strong electric kettle on hand for Americanos. One thing we're exploring in our cart business is also showing up a little early and pulling shots for iced drinks so that they're easier to move through the queue without putting strain on the GS3. My home research is proving no difference in taste even if they are in a thermal carafe for an hour or so.

    Would you recommend this over the Lucca a53? I’m looking for a machine to start a coffee cart and hopefully into a trailer soon after. I’m not the strongest person out there so the 75lb machine is a little daunting for myself and my helper to lift by ourselves lol. But I would like all the features you mention in your video for mostly solo running of the coffee cart. Thank you!

      The brew and steam boilers are much bigger in the GS3. Based on your needs starting out I think the a53 would be good. It’s 12lbs less and warms up in 15 min. I’m pretty fast so I needed a little more horsepower. Worst case scenario, you outgrow the a53 in a couple years and sell it. I think in nice condition you could probably sell it (or just make it your home machine). Holler if you need anything else therobmcgee@gmail.com

    How is the taste of espresso compared to Linea Mini?

    • @therobmcgee
      @therobmcgee  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve only had espresso from the Micra tbh. I can say that all three can put out exceptional espresso … it depends on the barista, the beans, and the grinder more.

    I’m planning on starting a coffee cart. I heard mixed reviews about using this machine because of the high volume of customers. What’s your take on that?

    • @therobmcgee
      @therobmcgee  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Dude, if you’re plumbed in using the flojet it rips insanely consistent shots for hours on end. We’ve done 9am-3pm events with a non-stop line without issue. AV over MP for carts 100%. Plus the You and Mini don’t have the same horse power.

      I agree with @therobmcgee , the GS/3 packs some serious horsepower, this is one of it's main points over the competition. It will keep pulling shots and steaming milk as fas as you can tell it to. You can really stand it on it's head.

    So hard to decide between the AV and Mp

    • @therobmcgee
      @therobmcgee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it comes down to whether you want the freedom of the programmable shots or you want the flexibility of the manual paddle. For me, with the espresso cart it’s a no brainer to go with the AV.
