Awesome! Thank you! My 4th gen just started leaking on both left and right sides. Going to follow these steps exact, and keep my fingers 🤞🏽

I am going to do mine on my 2017 ram big horn with the power rear window. I did not even know it was leaking until I went to get items that I store under the seats below the back window. They were soaked.
i’m going to use a caulking gun and a large tube of clear silicone that you get it a place like Home Depot. It will be much quicker and cheaper. The key thing is, you have to have the area you’re going to use the silicone on clean

Same here, noticed the leak in our Big Horn yesterday...of course when there is no warranty left. Hoping this trick works.

Nice job shooting/explaining this fix, which I'll be doing tomorrow on my 2019 Laramie Longhorn. Just a quick question - in the first video you removed the blue painters tape after 10-15 minutes before the Permatex dried completely. In this video you said to wait overnight before removing the tape. Which do you recommend? I'll be doing the entire rear window since I have leaks/cracks on both sides. Thanks in advance and thanks again for make clear, concise videos.

Thank you! You can remove it from 15-30 minutes. Leaving it overnight was letting the permetex completely dry off before I showed the water penetration test :)

2019 rebel. I followed exactly your steps and I still have a leak. Any the other suggestions? Should I redo it again?

Hi, you should verify where the leak is coming from first. If it is indeed the top of the glass this would of resolved it.
Areas you should check for water intrusion:
      -roof antenna
      -third brake light
      -sliding glass square seal
-2x square air outlets behind seats

If your frame is cracked on the inside it won’t work

I could be wrong here but, I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t seal that channel. That channel flows on the outside of the glass and drains and water that comes in. You have water coming in from the actual light gasket. But if it worked for you than that’s good.

      @WeekndGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Now that the channel is sealed the water coming down from the third brake light would over flow from the top of our new sealant

Is this applicable to 2023 rams! Did Doge fix this in the newer 2023 model?

I have done this and i must have fucked up, my rear window still leaks where the crack is on the inside. I need to remove the silicone, is there a technic to take it off from such a restreined area?
I have sealed my brake light and also the entire "crack" above the rear window... there is a lot of silicone

If you sealed it where the glass meets the cab it’s impossible for water to intrude from there anymore, you sure it’s not coming from your shark fin antenna on the roof?

In time did the silicone yellow at all or color change that looks bad. Great fix.

First year so far so good, no one complained of permetex windshield silicone turning yellow on a Google search. Hopefully this will last, no ones noticed I have silicone along my back glass just yet
