- 2 Amazing techniques to fix tanned skin, uneven skin tone or unwanted color cast in Photoshop. Using just adjustment layers, masks, and blend modes, we'll learn how to fix all of that non-destructively.

In this tutorial, we are going to use selective hue saturation as a technique to selectively change the uneven skin tone areas and get it to match the regular skin tone, similarly, we'll use the same to remove the color cast. Another fantastic technique that we'll learn is using the "Color" blend mode. Hope this video helps you.

I can't help but get a chuckle every time I go through this tutorial when he talks about the blond 'old lady'. At 75 years of age, I look at her at perhaps at or approaching 40 years old. She looks petty young to me. A warning to all you 'young' people out there, 40 rolls around pretty quick as does 75 for that matter. Love the tutorial though. Unmesh is an outstanding teacher.

Excellent tutorial as always! Another way to see what you have selected in Hue/Sat layer is to temporarily turn the saturation all the way up. I prefer this method but your method of moving the hue all the way to the left works fine also. Thank you!

If you take Saturation slider and put him on max right point, U can see red color mask on your photo
At the 7min mark you make the slider smaller than you did in your previous example.......why is that?

I love what you say about the first method of removing the color cast but I am a beginner and you are too fast. I can't figure out how to stretch the color adjustment bars. I did it once by accident but I can't do it again. What exactly are you clicking on to be able to isolate the bars and stretch them across the entire screen. I am as blind as a bat so I use my large monitor hooked up to my computer.
Slow the speed of the video down, it usually helps me when I can't keep up :)

The technique is great. I need tutorials on my “blind eyes”. A lot of time I know there is an uneven tone but can’t tell where it is (facepalm)
