    This looks delicious, growing up me and my parents often frequented Cantonese restaurants during special occasions and we would often order dishes like these, brings back so many memories, I remember my Mum always preferred Spicy/numbing Sichuanese food to the softer flavours of Cantonese which me and my Dad loved the most. Thank you I will try this recipe one day.

    Is the suger a must in this recipe? Can i use caramelized onions instead? Sorry i don't care for sugar in savory dishes not even pasta sauce. I know im weird.
    Love your channels. Happy Western new year. Lol 🍻 cheers!

      No, you can leave out the sugar or whatever ingredient that you don't like. Sometimes I add sugar and sometimes I don't for the same dish. It's just what I feel like that day. You can also add whatever ingredients that you like.

      @@ChineseCookingChannel I want this meal. Can the bean curd be eaten? You should try the African sauce 'Shiite'. Its delicious. It can go with anything, rice, stews, eggs, the list is endless. It comes in regular flavor and Spicey flavor. I like the spicey. Lol.

      Yes, I really like eating the bean curd. It's kind of chewy the way I make it. Some people like it softer. I have never tried the sauce "shite". I'll have to look for it in the new Year.

    My sir, you blanched the brisket first and off camera, maybe? That water looked pretty clean after that boil.

    • @ChineseCookingChannel
      @ChineseCookingChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe if I blanched it longer, the water would be less clear. Thanks for viewing my video on Cantonese Beef Stew.
