It's like when I got kicked out of some place while I was waiting on a friend. A security guard came up to me and asked: "Do you need any help?" and after I replied: "if I needed your help, I'd ask", he got really mad and kicked me out. I hate when people impose whether it's a clothing store, McDonald's or some jerk in uniform barking at me behind the fence. And mind you, I worked as a security officer myself all my life. McDonalds UK is for sure different than the US, they don't suggest anything, they just say hello and take your order. They used to ask did we want to make it super sized, but they don't do that now. I guess some places will suggest something if they have a promotion, perhaps in bigger cities, but none I have ever been to.

I was only a secretary when I was working (not a professional). Bipolar is also used for "chemical depedency). .......... Fish at McDonalds or Burger King ..........you must really be tired. Hi, Lady T, pertaining to the client's case on Judge Judy, it's possible especially if her exceptionality falls under the code of dual-diagnosis. Her ICM (intensive case manager )or mental health clinician have the ability to code it as such. Now it's automatic that if she requests the need for a payee, and is approved for that particular service, then her exceptionality falls under the mental heath umbrella. The client is also eligible to receive food coupons, transportation, free medication, mental health counseling, and a variety of other services once they are recommended or requested by the client, ICM, or clinician. The client is evaluated quarterly, and if everything checks out on her progress notes, like making it to all appointments, taking medication correctly through a medication monitoring system, and /or proof that her payee is paying her bills on time and the like. This means the client is meeting her quarterly goal and services can be extended. Now you do have some slick ones that do play the part, meet all appointments, fill the meds on time then throw it away, and create a particular system with the payee that benefits both of them. Gambling, Alcoholics, Sex addicts, etc. all fall into the same category and can apply and receive the same services. Lets say the client is homeless, depending on the funding allocated to her particularly region or parish, she qualifies to reside in an independent living facility, where she would have the ability to keep her whole check.. But if she like to gamble, its best for her to get her services as an out-patient client. This way if she is playing the system funny (I'm not concluding that she is anyone) she can play more, and not have to deal with being monitored all the time. Before I went back into the classroom, I was an ICM for a non-profit, and had a client that requested a check because the people or persons he resided with worked on his nerves, and provoked him to use vulgar language, simply speaking he was a bit bothered. I got the client checked out filled out the paper work and he was approved and got exactly what he wanted, so yes some cases may seem silly but hey thats the system and that is how it works.
