Located beside Mortlake Station on a high street near Richmond in London. One of the alarms sounds with an unusually fast tone at this level crossing on a relatively busy suburban train route, and both alarms here are relatively quiet given how busy this level crossing is for vehicles and pedestrians. Pedestrians are asked to cross via a concealed footbridge when the barriers are down to ease congestion here, and there are signs warning vehicles not to stop on the level crossing under any circumstances also.
