    I could have seen this being on the Discovery and History Channels back in the day. The quality is always top notch in these videos. You're a natural talent and I think people will be really drawn to your natural charisma and genuine love for making these videos. I hope you take off soon man, that would be so amazing for you and these wonderful shows you make!

    @16;13 great idea with the glow sticks I use chalk 2 mark the directions of travel like the safety equipment and monitors and the fact that you take your time and are aware of your surroundings. Hello from down under opal miner here first is safety second is safety then check again safety. Noticed there was an E and an arrow on the wall along with a few other posted things I noticed during the video great upload indeed.

    In the mining videos I have found to look into the features of the views of what’s around that I’ll never myself would be able to see like a mountain out there in the desert. Sadly I say I am pretty much stuck in southern New Jersey wanting to do my own exploration with my children who are now growing and i am patiently waiting for them as I cherish these moments of their childhood

    Chrysocolla, the king of carbonate copper gemstones, is an alluring, vivid blue-green color and is often mistaken for turquoise because they share many visual similarities. It can often be found intermingled with malachite, turquoise and azurite, creating a wonderful mixed gemstone known as Eilat stone (named after the city where it was once mined). Legend has it that Eilat stone was originally quarried in King Solomon's mines in Africa--which is partly why it is the national stone of Israel. The rich, vibrant blue and green colors of chrysocolla are reminiscent of looking down upon the earth's surface from space.

      Don't oay any attention to those haters kid, I thought it was still pretty cool nonetheless!! You wouldn't happen to be trying to find the ultra-rare blue crystal/gems that were only discovered back in the 1970's I think think it was at Lake Owyhee Oregon are you? Not sure if I spelled that properly, but I stumbled upon a random page just last week ironically, while doing a "deep-dive" on Wikipedia, clicking on random website-links while reading about one subject, taking me to another subject, and so on, and so on (LOL!!)... There were two different brand new discoveries made at the same lake of two very similar looking but apparently different blue crystal-like, but I think they also were referred to as being ultra-rare precious gems, that are both related to one another. The first second one discovered 2-3 years after the first one, again both in Malheur County, OR at Lake Owyhee [spelling?..] but the second one discovered is extremely valuable/expensive and has since only been found in a couple of other places in SE Oregon, and possibly where you might be looking, if it is in fact the same rare blue crystals? And randomly they are also found somewhere in India of all places also but were discovered in Oregon first. I could always do a quick Google search to find the name of these mysterious blue crystals that are worth a shit-ton of $$$, but I think you are looking for the same thing it sounds like, because I do remember reading that it is only found near heavy deposits of Quartz and veins of Copper! But you never know, I, like yourself, am no Geologist by ANY MEANS WHATSOEVER or I would probably remember the name of the crystals lmao!!!

    Cool video, I agree with another comment maker…. Be careful and try not to show specific areas. The mines will be vandalized (go check out all the mines due east of Independence). Another TH-camr disclosed those locations and now there is graffiti everywhere, trash and burned out mines…. FYI, that entire area (south of reward)all the areas you filmed in are part of a protected (and recently expanded wilderness preserve area). I would be careful going in there and doing any sort of mining. The few mines that are active are old lead mines. They are permitted mining claims that you shouldn’t be mining on. Be safe out there! Can’t wait to see the other areas you explore!

    • @pazsion
      @pazsion 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Active and leased mines will have tags, if they don’t it’s finders keepers regardless of where it is.
      But exploration rules always apply, leave it how you found it, remove obvious dangers, never alone, climbing equipment. Even if your not trusting of new wood construction. If you didn’t build it don’t trust it entirely.
      Don’t freaking vandalize stuff, take your trash with you.
      Leave a log of visits near the opening with dates and some kind of identifying mark. But not enough for Karen’s to complain about. If for whatever reason you don’t show up and the people you told you were going there will have something to tell them your still in there or have left that location… and when.

    • @PacificRoamer
      @PacificRoamer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Since this video gained some traction I actually cut out a few identifying areas while trying to keep the video coherent. I also recently found about leased mineral rights and couldn't believe just how many active claims there are all throughout the states. Currently looking at leasing my own which is mostly why i've been inactive.

    You seem to have things pretty much dialed in. Clip on Bluetooth mics, with windsocks, for each person talking, will give crystal clear audio. Retrieving specimens, invest in cordless impact drill, feather wedges, heavy piece of canvas as drop sheet. Cordless cutoff saw (grinder) with diamond cutting blade, you cut a slot on the far side and drill lower and use the feather wedges to break up, out into the hinge point. Invest in good masks, your lungs are part of your vital equipment, they don't work, you got major problem. Diamond tipped hole saws to drill a circle around a unique small specimen, then use small wedges to crack the core free, square off the bottom, it will sit nicely. Love your adventures, at 71, being an Aspie, was doing geology and mining. Recommend Google Nick Zentner for an outstanding, passionate teacher of earth science, geology! Am dialed in to your channel!

    • @PacificRoamer
      @PacificRoamer  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The primary ore in silver mines is Galena which is mostly lead. So a significant amount of the dust in these mines contains lead particles and many other heavy metals. Which are easily inhaled once you begin kicking up dust.
      The masks we used in this video actually wernt even rated to be helpful. We've since upgraded to full respirators.

    Please be more careful about showing where these mines are. The wrong people will go here and vandalize and steal whatever they can.
    I grew up adventuring this area and have been to all of the mines in your videos years back. There used to be wayyy more artifacts, and even sticks on TNT were left behind. Now it’s all gone from the looks of it. Keep these places sacred! Make others find it themselves through time and dedication! Those types won’t ruin things. Keep up with the good work!
