Beef Bourguignon

- How to make Beef Bourguignon. This is a slow cooked classic that requires surprisingly little effort.
You will need
1kg beef brisket (or any cheap cut)
4 slices bacon (streaky)
1 onion
1 carrot
1 stick celery
500ml red wine
500ml beef stock (or chicken or veg)
small bunch thyme (and/or rosemary and parsley)
1tbsp flour
150g pearl onions
150g button mushrooms
small bunch parsley
1tbsp red wine vinegar
"Tied for Thyhme" Excellently done. Tasty looking dish n'all Esccoffier!
love the boiled water hack.. I've been using pearl onions in some dishes and i loose them because I've cut to deep when pealing and they break apart
the frozen ones are also pretty good and big time saver
