Thanks for the lecture. I bought your VA course on udemy. I have a question. When you talk of getting approval from your client, how do I get an approval? Should they write it down and sign that they gave me a number of receipts or how do I go about it?
This is helpful! I do have a question, after an expense report is submitted/approved by the client’s employer, do you keep the receipts and expense report in the Google drive folder? For how long and how do you keep it all organized from month to month?
Yes I do! Great question - I do keep expense reports filed wherever my clients want them to go. Could be a folder in Google, could be Box, could be Dropbox.
Great question and...that's on them! It happens sometimes. Usually if a client is working for a company that requires expense reporting, that means that the company also has accountants to track expenses. Occasionally, those accountants will respond to your client that they're missing a a receipt or two.
Hey Erin, big fan. Quick question what microphone is that and what camera do you use to record this very educative tutorial? Know you from both ALX and DEXA
Hi! I use a Yeti microphone (www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphone-Streaming-Podcasting-Play-Silver/dp/B002VA464S) and my camera is the standard camera that comes built into my laptop! I keep it simple.
Wow 😍😍😍 Thanks a lot for one more valuable video I have one question for you I had enrolled in your courses on Udemy and one module you said you have a free course for LinkedIn I had checked but it's not free If there is any code I can apply, please let me know It will help a lot Thanks for the wonderful courses I am learning a lot from it
Hi, I am starting a new job tomorrow is an executive assistant. This is going to be the first time that I will be supporting a CFO. I read the company’s policy on expense reports, and it is following: Flights to the West Coast or 4.5 hours or greater are acceptable for business class. Flights less than 4.5 hours should be coach/economy. My question is what if the CFO is going somewhere where the flight from NYC to that destination is less than 4.5 hours, but has a Layover in another airport, included layover it could be let’s say six hours. Do I still book economy? When they say 4.5 that includes straight flight am I understanding this correctly? But what if the layover makes it more than 4.5? Thank you so much I appreciate it.
Congrats on the new job! That’s a great question- but definitely one for your client directly. Don’t be afraid to ask questions of your client and phrase it like “I’m seeking clarity so I can provide the best travel for you.”
If I am dealing with clients that make use of Expensify for instance, how do I turn in the receipts that are already uploaded to this platform to Google drive
I use Expensify w/ my clients too! If receipts are already uploaded and the client wants a second copy saved elsewhere, I recommend downloading a report and all receipt images as a PDF in the website. To do this, open the report and click the Generate PDF button on the left-hand side of the page.
This you coming to me after 2yrs😂 I really learnt alot.. Thanks Erin! Please i have a question, will your client provide you with the company's already created expense platform and the VA is just to enter the details or the VA would create expense platform which the company uses???
