Saying people don't want to talk about his work is insanely rude, Taylor Swift literally released THIRTY versions of her new album about her breakup making HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS off of it. This guy is just trying to promote his film, which is not about her.
So he can talk about his work not about a life with Taylor, he is using her. For 7 years he didn't want to say nothing. BTW, she didn't anything

Personally, I would like to hear more about Joe Alwyn’s new movie coming out: “Kinds of Kindness.” It’s set to be the cult movie of the Summer. GMA should have done a better job balancing this story with the brief comments (he felt uncomfortable but compelled to make) about how he is doing since the breakup. Hopefully as time goes on there will be less media interest with the TS connection and more on the actor’s work. Additionally, the parasocial fandom needs to stop harassing him.
In short, the commentator’s opening comment was rude and ignorant, unless she is thinking GMA’s audience is a bunch of pumpkin heads.🙄
I wish them the best. We don't know what led to their breakup. But the fact that her album title is nearly identical to his group says that she's still thinking about him. Okay everyone. The interview was real. GMA is reporting on the interview he did with the Sunday Times that was published this past Sunday. It was a real interview. I'm sure you can find it if you google for it.
I don't know much about the relationship with Joe Alwin except they were together for 6 years. I do know about the devastating incident with Kanye and Kim that had the internet and media lash out at Taylor wrongly thinking her a liar. And it traumatized her so much she left the country. It seems she met Joe around that time.
I wonder if the relationship would have happened or if so, just how long it would have lasted if Taylor was not PTSD from the backlash and hiding out. Joe being a reclusive type offered her quiet and being away from the media and the States.
I'm sure they cared for each other and everything but, I do feel this relationship was tied with the backlash incident to a degree. I'm sure if they did not get together they would have been good friends.
He seems like a nice guy. From what little I've heard about him he may have been somewhat emotionally unavailable and not that supportive in some ways.
I hear there is not much about him on her latest album. I don't think they hate each other. It just did not work. Two very different personalities and both unable to find common ground. It happens.

Why it's only now he is talking about this wonderful relationship when he was rarely seen with her, he didn't care that much about her. They are both better off without each other, that relationship was not meant to be. Let her be she needs to be herself and be with whom she wants to be with. That's her business not ours.
He's talking about it now, because he received death threats from some of her fans, they harassed co-stars of him on social media, made fake AI videos of him, made up rumors about him cheating on her and/or physically abusing her etc. He indirectly adressed that as well in the full interview. If you don't push back, at least a little bit, against stuff like that, people start to believe it is okay to do it. Also, they had a private relationship, i really don't know how you can think you know that he didn't care that much about her.

Look, i wouldn't be so nitpicky about it, if people would be able to handle it rationally. I just don't think that hints at cheating justify the amount of harassment he has received. And even if he did cheat on her, stuff like death threats would still be not okay.

He didn't talk about her, he just adressed the break up and the online harassment (including death threats, and AI fakes made by fans of her) he received since then.
