Many years ago I saw him in Kilburn High Road NW6 at 8M, I said hello and he replied in kind, I said you probably hear this all the time but you always make me laugh, you’re quite brilliant, he said thank you, best comedian ever.

Re queue jumpers- years ago my wife and i were queuing at the Antiques Roadshow in England and a guy some way behind kept moving in front of people one at a time- there were rumblings of discontent, yet nobody challenged him. Soon he was next behind us, so i was ready- when he moved in front, i told him he had been queue jumping and should go right back there where he had started- which he did. Why did no-one challenge him before? Re supermarkets; of course they put most common essential items well away from the entrance and check-outs: maximised profits over the needs of customers, as with so many companies these days. There was a time we could ring our local bank or store, now we have to wait ages on a centralised phone number with machine answering. Capitalist greed. And the number of ads on TV and youtube now! Grr grr grr. Oh and Dave Allen has still not been equalled as a stand up comedian
