Well, someone lives outside the rust belt. Doing one of these now and the hubs were completely seized in the knuckles. I was able to attach a normal slide hammer foot to the hub by placing the long, torx bolts, with some washers, into the holes for the 13mm bolts. Then we put quite a lot of heat into the knuckle itself, under where the caliper mounts. Once it was hot enough, I could pull the entire assembly with the slide hammer. Carefull, mine came flying out all at once, after a few hits. The wheel bearings seem to have survived. Amazing!

    Great video.
I replaced the front rotors and pads on a 2015 Transit yesterday and for some reason I keep getting ABS codes. One for tone ring and for both wheel speed sensors. They are both there and I see wheel speeds on my laptop although it jumps around a little. I cleaned the rings. Not sure what to do at this point. Odd situation.
Just to add, there was so much corrosion around the hub to knuckle area that I had to hit the rotor with a 4lb hammer. I wonder if that impact damaged the sensors.
Update*** It was the hub bearings. If the hub seizes to the knuckle so badly that you have to hit the rotor several times, the hub will basically pull the guts of the bearing, including the tone ring, forward distorting the ring and creating a larger air gap. In this video, the assembly just fell off so it is not a problem. Here in NY, it took 5-6 hits with 4lb hammer to get it off of the knuckle and several hits to get the rotor off of the hub. It was stuck so badly that I thought I forgot a bolt. If it is seized on, be prepared to replace the hubs or soak it overnight and pray it lets go.

As far as changing just the pads is there anything special I would need other than the "rewind" tool? We just did rear brake pads and will do the front in a few months. Thanks for the videos
