You do make me laugh. You appear to live life through rose tinted specs away from what is reality for many here. Many expats I know here are bored and tired of the place and the never ending heat that limits you from doing things, you have to wait until after 5pm to go for a walk/run and the kids have to wait too to go outside and play, it's sad and not a good quality of life. Stray dogs everywhere, no small talk with strangers when you pop out for some milk and bread. You say it's not mundane here but I beg to differ, it is very mundane really, but agree that it does have many upsides, one being as you say you don't have that awful Monday morning feeling here. Good for you though if you're happy and content.

You just need to have a family, make lots of friends and keep yourself busy. If you have that, you can live anywhere in the world and enjoy life.
