Wow FANTASTIC interview. Your question style was so natural/conversational and really created a great dialogue. I’ve always been a massive Alaska fan, and this is by far the best interview I’ve seen with her. Thankyou for such thoughtful questions and getting the tea without being shady. I’m new to your channel , congratulations on great content. ❤️
Alaska seemed as if her mind was a bit overwhelmed about exposing herself. The interview was raw and real. I think maybe because it’s something she’s not used to delivering to us through her Drag. Her innocence, truths, drama etc. Made this interview even better.
The joke is that this is not Alaska's house but a rental house used for the set. Alaska worked for Gay Life TV for just 3 episodes of a show we had called Glam. Alaska is one of the most amazing persons i have ever worked with. She is a good person and smart. Alaska did Pittsburgh good we love her here. Alaska and Sharon are two people who deserve fame and wealth because both put the work in years before they were famous. Sharon did one episode of a show we had called Drag Talk. That was before Drag Race. I was always able to see the star that lived inside of both of them. That is why I asked them to be on Gay Life TV in its early years. The Glam show was after Alaska was on Drag Race. Both Alaska and Sharron did these shows with out pay simply to help my station get it's start. I will forever be thankful to both of them for treating my craft and career with as much respect and interest as they have for their own. Yes it is true they are different than everyday people. This interviewer is the Best I've ever seen with drag queens. He's thoughtful, did his research, and doesn't act like a silly fangirl. So good!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
THANK YOU soooooo much for this interview, you really did your homework!!! 😀 I LOVE Alaska & am happy that she admitted it was Sharon's blood on her coat, not her own ... all these years Sharon has taken the blame for their breakup! Regarding the AS2 "meltdown", you heard her say it right here, THAT'S her true self, earlier in that same episode, Mom said he'd cry when he was little if things didn't go his way & Alaska literally said "Well I STILL do that" 😂😂
@@luciacaceres3624 In 2014, Alaska said the night they broke up, she left beaten & bloody, implying Sharon beat the shit outta her. Then she went on a podcast & said she meant they'd both physically fought, but people had already turned against Sharon, saying she was abusive & that Alaska was a victim. NOW in 2019, she admits it was Sharon's blood on her coat, meaning it was Alaska who hurt Sharon bad enough to make her bleed!
PoppyB2011 I definitely 😍❤️ Alaska but if I could pick just 1 other queen I’d like him to interview, hands down I gotta say my queen Alyssa Edwards. She makes me laugh so hard with out even trying to be funny 💁🏼♀️😆🤣👸🏻👑🌈
I could watch @Joseph Shepherd interview ANYONE or ANYTHING!!! He absolutely kills it every time!!! All of these major network interviewers need to be coached by him-or better yet, step down and let Shepherd take their place!!!! Keep it up!!! U seriously rock!!!
Alaska is my actual spirit animal. Ever since I looked her up after seeing her video message for Sharon on season 4 of RPDR. I remember finding a video on YT of her and Sharon performing the song "How much is that doggy in the window..?" There aren't very many queens that I've imediately identified with, but of the few I really love, Alaska is like an actual piece of my heart.
I hadn’t seen season 5 when I watched AS2 and I liked her ok but also felt like I didn’t get it. She seemed kinda chilly and distant. I started to see her differently after the show, when she didn’t fight the viewer backlash. She embraced the snake emoji and built it into her brand. I thought huh, that’s not what I expected at all. That’s cool. That’s part of the magic of drag, taking something painful & potentially career damaging & turning it upside down. She didn’t try to distance herself from the ugly moments; she said fuck yeah, I’m a snake. It made me really appreciate her perspective. She’s unique and she stands for something.

What a great interview! Also that setting...is EVERYTHING!!
You need to interview more queens. How don’t you work for a tv station yet? You’re the best!
Regarding the AS2 "meltdown", you heard her say it right here, THAT'S her true self, earlier in that same episode, Mom said he'd cry when he was little if things didn't go his way & Alaska literally said "Well I STILL do that" 😂😂
wendyrhps I didn’t understand about the coat🤕
@@luciacaceres3624 In 2014, Alaska said the night they broke up, she left beaten & bloody, implying Sharon beat the shit outta her. Then she went on a podcast & said she meant they'd both physically fought, but people had already turned against Sharon, saying she was abusive & that Alaska was a victim. NOW in 2019, she admits it was Sharon's blood on her coat, meaning it was Alaska who hurt Sharon bad enough to make her bleed!
I don't need to see any other queens interviewed. Who is more interesting than Laska? She is the be all and end all of drag. Loved this.
I love Alaska! She is one of my favorites! Her voice is so intoxicating lol this was such a good interview!!! A lot of great questions were answered 😍
I remember finding a video on YT of her and Sharon performing the song "How much is that doggy in the window..?"
There aren't very many queens that I've imediately identified with, but of the few I really love, Alaska is like an actual piece of my heart.
This helped me find a love for Alaska I didn’t know I’d ever have.
every time i see a clip on tiktok i have to come rewatch the whole video here lol
You’re a talented interviewer, because you have respect for the queens. While also asking the hard shit
Muah! Your voice is very contagious to me! I’ve caught myself doing it!
Alaska has had such a superstar life. I mean an interesting and fascinating story. From this point on, it’s just building up to legend status
