The thing that make Hoederer different is that he has a passive that give him permanent 18% dmg reduction and sustain. Meanwhile, Windchime & Quartz also have very high HP and the possibility to have some good dmg input but they aren't nearly as tanky and are dependent of having a good healer to help them. There is a VERY good video by BloopAK where he explain what Crusher niche and use case is, what make Hoederer different is that he fulfill that niche perfectly but is also independent and like Mountain, he kind of 'removed' the weakness of his archetype by having dmg reduction and sustain. I agree with people saying he 'solved' the archetype as he is perfect, but I think they are misguided about the archetype having no chance of producing anything better, brawler got chong-hue who work very well as a 6star and is different from Mountain. Mountain tried to ignore brawler's issue while Chong-hue just went with his own kit/identity being strong. Quartz issue is that her S2 doesn't synergize well with what she want to do and her archetype is a niche, Windchime is better but her S2 is also a specific kind of usage. It is also what exacerbated the 'issue' of crusher and made the class unfairly judged.

Since the release on Global after the maintenance done I go to the Headhunting then I only use 3 permit then first one I got Kafka, second got click, then third I got hoerde
Hoederer's a sustainable damage house that doesn't need constant healing, that's basically what makes him better than some other boss killers in some sense
1. He has pretty good stun duration, his damage isn’t mlynar level but he beats patriot earlier along the track 2. Big attack, he can even handle 4000 def patriot 3. Big hp, he can tank arts enemies, though good luck healing him afterwards 4. Zero defense (obviously), he can barely survive aak’s physical barrage
Lumen (free 6*) does a pretty good job of keeping him alive, and then there’s also warf s1 and eyja. It’s not nearly as difficult to keep him alive unless he lit goes 6khp to 0hp in one hit and those are hits protectors aren’t going to survive or without heavy damage mitigation anyways

I noticed that right as Hoederer was about to release on Global, there was a ton of downplaying on how strong he actually is and telling people he's an easy skip. Yes, there are a ton of good banners coming, and yes he gets shredded like paper against trash mobs. But that doesn't mean he's weak or bad. Man's got his role and he fills it well. Can others fill the role? Yes, but that doesn't mean people should be saying to just skip him.
