You really knocked it out of the part with your video. I don't suppose you'd ever do a video for the D1 exotic armor pieces? Not that you have to, I just think you'd do a good job with them too.
I love the Zhalo rework. Makes it shine outside of Riskrunner and adds the unique functionality. Riskrunner really only shines because of arc conductor, so Zhalo and Riskrunner here would still occupy separate niches while both remaining viable.
Oh man how funny, so original too jeez can't believe it I'm dying from laughter. I am currently rotting away and becoming a skeleton from the laughing I'm doing.

I love the Zhalo idea. The under barrel thing looks like a capacitor and in circuits capacitors store charge. It makes complete sense that you could just short circuit it and cause an explosion lol.
Not that a jolting explosion wouldn’t be bad, but I feel that a blinding explosion would be better, that way you have jolt and blind in one gun which can deal with overload and unstoppable, similar to weapons that can slow and freeze
@@generallogics3643 we have centrifuse already though. IMO, letting centrifuse be the blinding auto and zhalo be the jolting auto would be a nice solution. the same ideology could be applicable to cloud strike/darci/hereafter, with darci being jolt, hereafter being blind, and cloudstrike being neither.
In the grimoire card of Destiny 1 they said that it is an arc generator that a female hunter placed on the weapon and that is why Super Zhalo Cell does arc damage
For Pocket Infinity, I'd like to see it have the option for an all in one mag dump. We have full auto already in D2 for every weapon technically. The Pocket Infinity could act like a heavy frame fusion rifle with the option to Hold B to change it's firing mode to dump all loaded charges in one blast.
Technically merciless gets close to Pocket Infinity. Because it's charge time gets faster and faster so you can really fire it similarly to pocket Infinity. And I definitely think that pocket Infinity could come back into the game since we have a similar fusion which is merciless
@@ThePackman627 the thing is with their design ethos why would they bring it back like that? Merciless is pretty much d2's approved version of pocket Infinity, With how they restrict themselves merciless is what pocket Infinity can be. It would either run the risk of being a shittier version of merciless or it would make merciless obsolete and then either way there's a useless weapon in the game.
Pocket infinity needs to be a Heavy weapon - hitting 2/3 of the 5 bursts greatly increases damage - catalyst bursts with increased damage from it's intrinsic perk apply scroch ( so a full burst on a target resuslt in an ignition)
Disagree. Making it a slow charging fusion that fires in full auto and giving it rewind/reservoir burst + deconstruct/reserves catalyst would be a fine weapon. Ingnitions on full bursts wouldn't work so well because it wastes ammo while the ignition is activating.
8:20 ; pretty sure 'iconoclast' was utilized purposely for the ornament since it basically translates to 'independent thinker' which Ikora Rey is known for being in lore. As for the title, we become 'iconoclasts' after triumphing over the Witness and it's philosophy of homogeneous group think and the destruction of individuality.
Posted this on his vid as well, but I definitely think you can bring back the old swords and here's how Razelighter: Light attacks deal scorch, heavy deals more (so a combo of like LLLH gets an ignition). Boltcaster: Aggressive tracking on projectile (think Trust-level curving) and jolts targets hit. Darkdrinker: Damaging targets restores charge energy. Spin-to-win back-to-back until you're out of ammo. (and to add new types) Coldwave (Stasis): Wave Frame. Coldsteel built-in. Enemies killed by wave emit a freezing burst. Shattering crystals or frozen enemies with sword attacks deal increased shatter damage/range. Needle (Strand): Aggressive Frame. Remaining airborne for extended durations fills meter; meter empties shortly after being grounded. While filled, weapon damage is increased based on meter. Heavy slams fill meter more rapidly while falling.
Dude I’m surprised I didn’t see your comment on the other video, THIS is a really neat idea. I like how you played into all 5 sword frames whilst correlating with all 5 classes. Super creative my man. I’m gonna go find another person’s comment and give them credit and show you what they said.
Perfect idea, I also commented this same thing on llama’s video, and I proposed that this void overshield could pair with exotics such as helm of Saint-14 and Ursa furiosa, two exotics I don’t see commonly used on their own, so this weapon could pair well with those. Also since the proposal is for this weapon to be available to all classes, I believe that making it pair strongly with titan exotics will still play more into the titan fantasy
I also saw another proposal, I will check who commented it, but you can select the element you want for the Fabian strategy, and whilst having a buff correlating with that weapon type, will make the shield stronger. Amplified Restoration Void overshield Frost armor Woven mail And he also proposed that once this shield is destroyed, it would function similar to the unbreakable where once the shield is destroyed it releases damage forward that correlated with the amount of damage received. Arc - either jolt or blind enemies when destroyed (whichever one is more balanced Solar - scorch enemies Void - suppress, weaken, or make volatile (whichever one is more balanced) Stasis - slow enemies, possibly freeze (whichever one is more balanced) Strand - sever or suspend enemies (whichever is more balanced) That was quite the yap fest but yeah
28:13 Raze-Lighter should create a firenado with its uppercut, Void-Drinker should pull enemies in & leave a lingering void vortex & lastly, Bolt-Caster should summon a lightning storm wherever the cast lands.
For Tlaloc, I would love to see it tied to Prismatic. Say, the more you have your Transcendence meter filled, the more bonus Stability, Range, Handling, Reload, and Aim Assistance you have. Having a full Transcendence meter increases rpm from 180 to 200. Oh and it's a kinetic slot weapon but it's damage type is tied to your currently equipped grenade and activating Transcendence transforms the damage type to your grenade, so Void/Stasis for warlock, Arc/Strand for titan, and Solar/Stasis for hunter. It's catalyst should be something like "While in Transcendence, you deal subclass verbs. Void = Volatile, Arc = Blinding, Solar = Hits equal small heals, Stasis = Slow, and Strand = Sever"
Good idea but only problem I’m seeing is if your not running prismatic, it’s just a useless brick no better then Randy. Did you mean to a have it tied to regular super with transcendence also in mind? So both super and transcendence buff it once full?
@deamonangel6 no not really, we have weapons such as Collective Obligation so I figured that having a weapon purely based on Prismatic wouldn't be bad. It could easily be shifted to work with super too though.
26:15 nova gets volatile rounds and creates void explosions that pull in enemies with sustained damage(maybe weaken also, but Deterministic Chaos already does these) and Abbadon burns and creates ignitions with sustained damage.
Aztec if you're surprised by the Iconoclast ornament, there's also a gear set called "Witness" in D1, the Final Shape triangle in the traveler logo is all over D1's original tower and The Speaker is selling the "Deep Stone Crypt" mark for titans to this day (on a rotator).
the idea of the darkness being represented by triangles goes back to pre-alpha dev builds, and the deep stone crypt has been in lore since launch. Doesn’t mean bungie actually knew what they would do with those ideas
I saw someone propose on the Llama’s video in the comments that the gun should have an option to overheat the gun to where you can shoot one powerful shot (with cooldown after). Essentially, you can choose to cycle between body shots and headshots, or, you can go all in the headshots to charge up a overheated shot that could cause scorch (possibly an ignition if that is properly balanced).
Considering how rapid-fire shotguns still require 2 shots to kill in PvP (to my knowledge, not sure if that was changed at any point), I'd make it so that Universal Remote needs 3, aka the full mag, and keep the primary ammo function.
I just like how they forget Zhalo Supercell actually builds your super meter a lot faster with double kills, and returns ammo to the magazine, and it does chain lightning but without needing to take damage to trigger the perk to get it active
Okay whoever had that idea for the sword trio is actually a genius. Make the intrinsic perk swap damage type and sword frame, then make the exotic apply elemental depuffs based on the damage. You could even use certain debuffs to incentivize swapping modes back to back. Like Void could weaken, then swap to arc which jolts, then swap to solar which heavily scorches and leaves the enemy primed for an easy ignition.
I saw someone on llama’s video propose a better idea for the sword. The person who commented chose to maintain each sword maintain the one element, but make each one an actual exotic version of the frame. Basically, a powerful caster frame that can shoot more, a vortex frame that could function like a vortex grenade or have an extended swing animation, and then the uppercut function similar to consecration with a second slam (although obviously not be near as powerful as consecration). I encourage reading through the comments on the other video, those people are insanely creative with their ideas, ESPECIALLY for the swords. Alright I’m done yapping I’m sorry
Pocket Infinity should be a heavy fusion that has triple tap that works on body shots and rapid hits scorch targets and igniting the target returns ammo to the magazine.
The problem with pocket infinity and invective immediately was invective "you might as well just make a new fucking gun" and with pocket Infinity it completely deletes the spirit of the original weapon because the spirit of that weapon as much as they can with their current design ethos has already been captured by merciless, And that's kind of the problem with a lot of these weapons because of their design ethos that go with it's either they already brought it back in a state that is as close as they can allow or you completely have to demolish the weapon and reimagining it completely so you might as well make a new one.
I feel like invective could be brought back in a way that makes it feel like its original form: My proposal is to bring the weapon back as a primary ammo weapon with an exotic form of reconstruction as an intrinsic perk to keep up the "infinite ammo shotty" design. As a secondary effect, the weapons pellets could apply stacks of scorch to bring up the weapons damage in pve. And finally, with the catalyst, scorch damage ticks could enhance the reconstruction effect, and ignitions give a subsistence style mag refill.
Zhalo should come back as another special ammo auto and maybe instead of just a chain lightning effect, it has a unique incandescent/firefly like perk that jolts targets around that explosion. And then it's catalyst could giving it jolting feedback as like, a way to jolt single targets. Would this be powerful. OH YES. BIG TIME. Spark of beacons with a Arc version of Choir of One alone is a nutty thought but honestly, Arc as a subclass needs it.
I think the way to make this balanced is give it either a weak fire rate or really really low ammo count. I feel like if it could fire as fast as it did in the first game as well as hold as much as choir of one can, it’ll be a bit too strong
The thing people forget is you don't have to hold still for patience and times invis, just stay scoped in, so you can still strafe and jump. That leaves room to give it something like a strafe scaler thats higher than something like moving target and elemental compacitor so you're not necessarily rewarded for camping but you're also not a sitting duck if someone with a more meta weapon just flys into the lane and starts applying heavy pressure.
I hope people see this comment, this is a really good idea. I also think pairing this with the potential to get rid of the glare when invisible would make this gun really good in pvp and pve. Plus, the clips people could pull off would be quite impressive. To make it balanced, there would have to be a short cooldown between usages. But yeah, moving target as a catalyst of some sort would make this a really cool gun.
It definitely has some room for neutral shenanigans. I used to love running khepri's sting on solar hunter in D1 for those crispy one shot throwing knives and just having invis as an option while not having to play a specific subclass and I feel like the game desperately needs more unique neutral options that aren't just more neutral melee damage, free health regeneration after a gunfight, free health regeneration during a gunfight, throwing every ability you have as soon as someone engages you while already not needing good aim to hit your optimal ttk ect. Its a space magic game, give us more weird shit to play with. Part of me was hoping the exotic class items would do something like give other classes necrotics scaling and chaining poison damage without whatever they gave it on top to separate the spirit from the base exotic or oathkeepers perfect draw without the drawtime scaler and without the AE but we see how that turned out :(
@@ShadowNemesis575 yeah, we need more creative stuff and mix up of random builds. However, part of that can be on Bungie’s part to make certain gm’s and high end content have modifiers, which I’d say they’ve done decently recently, then again, I’m not too much of a high content player
Honestly quite underwhelmed with the vast majority of these rework concepts; feel like they are all either way too similar to existing weapons (Plan C and Pocket Infinity would eat up the same design space as Merciless, Young Wolf's Howl would just be an objectively worse Wolfpack Round Ergo Sum) or completely impractical (I literally don't think it is technically possible to code a weapon as having different ammo types in different modes, nor do I think the devs would want to handle weapon balance in that way in the first place; having a sniper that gives you invis for standing still would be a nightmare in pvp and would have to have the perk proc some other way, etc). And for a lot of them he suggested changes that were so small that the weapon would still not be close to up to snuff in the current sandbox, like there is no way you can bring back No Land Beyond or Zen Meteor more or less "as is" without any kind of major reworking and retuning. The only ideas that strike me as novel here are Super Good Advice returning with an overheat mechanic (I don't think what he suggested makes a ton of sense but nothing in Destiny has any kind of overheating, I think it would be interesting to explore it more) and Fabian Strategy getting a frontal shield (obviously that is something glaives have but giving it to a primary ammo weapon and tuning it around that could be interesting I think).
The three swords should have the perk “The Fundamentals” also stating that switching elements will also change the frame.. and add the wave frame for Stasis where it creates crystals along the ground and defeating frozen or slowed targets creates Stasis shards and grant frost armor.. and Lightweight frame for Strand where multiple hits severs the target and defeating severed targets release a suspending explosion.. Void should Suppress the target on multiple hits and grant void invisibility when defeating suppressed targets.. Solar should give Restoration on multiple hits and marks that target and defeating marked targets grant Radiant and drop a healing remnant on multi kills.. Arc should Blind the target on multiple hits (Blinding Feedback) and defeating Blinded targets grant Amplify and multi kills while Amplified drop an Arc Bolt grenade (Works well with Lucky Raspberry).
While I do think these ideas are absolutely fantastic, some of them initially sound very very strong. However, I think with these exact same ideas, with a few tweaks with possibly cooldowns and what not, this could be extremely viable and play perfectly into the fantasy. I will say tho if you have a sword that can switch between all 5 elements while in game it would be a bit op, but considering it’s a sword maybe not. Idk tho
Ehhh… half of them had their entire exotic turned into a perk. Though the designs were very good, the exotics we have now are just better in terms of gameplay loops and build-crafting.
Nah, not even. The class exotics weren't that crazy. We had 2 extra copies of Thunderlord for Solar and Void. No one remembers Nemisis Star unless it was to clown on it.
Nostalgia blind. You're just saying that because they were rare weapons but when you compare them with the weapons we have nowadays, they're just on the equilivant as D2 Legendaries. Some even on par as D2 Rares...
Hey man the D2 babies wont like this comment. But seriously what they fail to understand is that theres a difference between cool and fun and passionless and OP, D2 guns might be better but theyre not rare nor cool.
28:20 Hmm, making the swords into 1 like hard light is interesting, but what if you make it a team synergy. The weapons go together as a trio so make them like rat pack as long as 1 of each element is on the team, and as long as all 3 are present, it amplifies the element of the sword causing scorch, jolt and volatile.
Chats idea about the 3 exotic swords was a cool one, but I feel it takes away from the 3 of them being unique. I feel like I got ideas for each of them that would bring them back in a really neat way that's updated for D2's structure while keeping their identities mostly intact. Like Raze Lighter being updated to a Wave Frame Sword with waves that stick around and apply Scorch similar to dragons breaths rockets with the second hit igniting scorched targets.
For Dark Drinker, it still is a Vortex frame, but the Vortex leaves behind a Black Hole that sucks in enemies and Weakens them. For Bolt Caster, it could send out storm grenade like projectiles that apply Jolt.
I can’t recall, but did you happen to comment on Llama’s video? I may be tripping because I was reading a lot of comments on Llama’s vid when that came out so idk
Id change the universal remote aspect of pvp to just make it deal much less body shot damage there exclusively, so it would be like 3 body shots and that would be offset by maybe increasing precision damage so it could 2 crit, so it would still have the firerate of a shotgun and a high skill ceiling to make it effective
I would lower its overall damage and give it boxed breathing to get the onetap, so it doesnt allow shotgun rushers to have infinite ammo it's more for camping or going slower.
For the swords, its easy. Just having it swap elements isnt cool enough for the blades forged from the taken king's own weapon. Make it one sword that you can change the element of AND give them an enchanced version of the power attacks. Raze lighter gets the ability to charge the uppercut for insane single target damage Darkdrinker lets you hold it down and keep spinning (like burning maul but better) while pulling targets in periodically Boltcaster is harder for me to think of something. Maybe lock onto multiple targets and send out multiple discs But more importantly, the swords should work like Agers scepter. Using a super in the same element should over charge the swords and further enhance the sword attacks. Raze lighter full power attack charge is significantly faster Darkdrinker sends out tethers that weaken and supress while spinning Bolt caster heavy marks targets hit by it and allows for light attacks to teleport you to the targert for a fast multi hit combo As for the name, calll it Unbroken Will as an homage to the blade it was forged from, Willbreaker.
Bro this idea is actually fire asf, however, I would say remove the switching between all elements. Simply because of not only the fact it’ll be inevitably overpowered, but it’ll also make people not have to commit to a sword, similar to the first game. Rather, I’d say keep each sword stuck to one element, and then you can make that individual sword have the stuff that you mentioned. I feel like this way it’ll be similar to the same feeling of the first game in which you had to select one weapon, while also encouraging people to be creative with crafting their build
Yeah it probably would be too powerful but they will never come back anyway. I will die cursing Shaxx for taking my Raze-Lighter and not giving it back.
Universal remote should be a single shot shotgun. Give it the acrius treatment making it sluggish and slow. And reloading after a kill gives a stacking damage increase for a short time. Requires you to be up close and rewards you if you’re good surviving those engagements.
For Fabian strategy, I’d make the catalyst: “rapid final blows recharge the shield”. That catalyst would be annoying af in PvP. But this new one would make it a PvE power house. PvP it should only block body shots.
Dude this is a way better idea, also I commented it on another comment but they should make it a void shield, that way it could possibly be paired with exotics such as helm of Saint 14 or ursa furiosa, playing into the titan fantasy.
Also, a way to bring them back is to involve a story of while the old tower is being fixed the gun smith found weapons that are missing parts. He needs your help completing the weapon, so that creates the quest.
I feel like Pocket Infinity could come back as a craft-able weapon that utilizes Warmind Cells. With interchangeable perk slots that change how the cells behave when created and destroyed.
The last two videos I’ve watched from you were videos like this and I quite literally watched the videos you’re reacting to right before you uploaded 😂
I like the Fabian Strategy ideas because a Fabian strat. is a real thing where you focus on indirect confrontations and attrition. The name of the gun is what is needed to defeat it. Which could work with the taunting aspect because someone telling you how to defeat them and not giving you a chance is most definitely a taunt
I loved Zhalo. It was the only exotic I used when doing a Raid or Strike. Unless it was a boss fight of course. I can’t remember what strike (I think) it was but it was where a bunch of thrall ran up a bridge and I would just mow them down with Zhalo. Please bring it back 😭
All I want is Pocket Infinity, I literallly bought Destiny because I wanted to know what that gun was and loved it. Its the only OG not brought over to Destiny 2, it actually got Sunset in D1 and never even got moved forwards.
Universal Remote - give it a unique 3-pellet shot with lower base damage. It won't instakill guardians since it'll take multiple shots, similar ttk to SMGs. Super Good Advice - body shots apply scorched stacks & overheats, while crits reduce overheating. Front Lines - the energy shield is only up during ADS & only shields a narrow width underneath the gun (head exposed). Or it only shields against energy weapons, not kinetic.
combine the 3 swords into like 1 sword, and you can switch element just like hardlight as a trait. As for the perk the sword deal less damage compared to normal but when you get enough kills, it summon the other 2 element sword floating beside you and enhance your normal and heavy attack. Depends on what element you had before the perk activate the other 2 sword have the same heavy attack as the main one like if it is: Arc: shoot out 3 projectiles, jolt and blind the target while give you amplified Void: 3 sword spin at the same time, with the other 2 deal less damage. Weaken the target , make them volatile while give you overshield Solar: A super uppercut deal massive damage. Ignite then scorch the target, while give you a weaker or shorter radiant and cure x1
Young Wolf’s Howl (Reworked) Intrinsic: *“Bark”* Using a heavy attack plunges the sword into the ground and creates a ring of fire in the surrounding area, buffing the player’s damage resistance, and applies *scorch* to enemies within the ring. Sword energy depletes while the ring is active. Trait: *“Bite”* Enemies defeated with light attacks within the ring *ignite* , spread *scorch* to surrounding enemies, heal the user, and grant sword energy. Catalyst: *“Relentless Strikes”*
For universal remote: I think a way to balance it is to have the second trait suggested, the shrapnel that I internalize as looking like Outbreaks Siva AoE, require a certain amount of crits to activate. - Precision Frame shotguns shoot 11 pellets, I believe, and is what the new Universal Remote would be modeled off of. The ability to spawn shrapnel and deal damage to the target and in an AoE should be gatekept behind needing to land 16 crits with the pellets. This would mean in PvE it would require 2 shots to activate the effect. The shotgun damage can be balanced around killing basic red bars in a singular shot, but requiring 2-3+ for majors. There can also be a cooldown on this trait, maybe…2.5 seconds before it can be procced again. This means against yellow bars and higher, this theoretical version of Universal remote could be like a short ranged outbreak and be really good at sustained consistent damage. - The shrapnel should do more damage than Outbreaks Siva AoE by a decent amount to make it be worth the risk of playing it up close. This theoretical version of Universal Remote, due to its scope, should also have marginally less fall off than normal to justify ADS-ing with a spread. - In PvP it could still use primary ammo. Due to the critical pellet requirements, it could be balanced around only being able to two-shot an opposing guardian IF you land 16 of your 22 pellets from two shots as crits. You would die from the shrapnel explosion proc, rewarding you with area denial if you can pull it off. - Edit: In addition, there can be a timer added so you can’t just tag an enemy, walk away, then shoot them again a minute later to proc the shrapnel. Maybe a second or two. Obviously I made a lot of comparisons to Outbreak, but what makes it strong is its synergy with other people using the weapon. Should be obvious, but such symbiosis would not exist for this theoretical version of Universal Remote.
22:25 Does Llama know that "Dynamite With a Laser Beam" is a line from the Queen song Killer Queen. I am thinking not because the other trait should be "Gunpowder, Gelatine" to fit with the song. This ties into the D2 music theme much better.
I was waiting for something like "Guaranteed To Blow Your Mind" give it Mega Firefly on kills! Saddened he doesn't seem to know it's a Queen reference!
What's sad is JUST HOW much that song fits the gun. "Guaranteed too blow your mind." The gun had the highest aim assist in the game, meaning it was in fact more likely too blow your mind with a massive exploding round.
The problem with pocket infinity rework is that there’s already an option to keep full auto active on every weapon so it’s pointless for the rework, and I think for Meteor overflow or lead from gold would be better for the catalyst.
Red death proved that it could come back even though crimson existed so yeah the excuse that supercell can’t come back because of riskrunner don’t fly anymore.
I used young wolf’s howl all the time in wrath, a lot of people would forget their debuffs so I’d be there swinging away with the special move and sometimes would out dps raze lighter and dark drinker
I feel like Fabian Stradegy could have a powerful shield similar to a glaive, but when it breaks it stuns the wielder, keeping them in a stunned animation for a moderate duration. It would make it more of a team support weapon instead of a Antaeus Wards 2.0.
@@absentzz347yeah, it also could have synergy with Antaeus or other titan exotics that change your barricade. Like antaeus granting movement while the shield is deployed, but costing small amounts of barricade energy.
Agreed, and if you make it a void overshield for Fabian, then you could pair it with other exotics such as helm of Saint 14 or ursa furiosa, feeding into the support and defend fantasy
My idea for Zhalo Supercell is to make it a Support Frame Auto Rifle. The support function(hip-fire) heals AND Amplifies allies. The Exotic trait would be a meter that it filled by defeating targets while Amplified or by Amplifying allies. When the meter is filled, you can consume it by holding "reload", to activate Stormtrance(in "gun form"). This would function like Still Hunt and how it uses Golden Gun and it's synergies. Zhalo could synergize with Stormdancer's Brace, granting you Super Energy when dealing damage with Zhalo Supercell.
Give No Land Beyond a catalyst called “No Scope, No Problem,” and basically give it Offhand Strike with flinch resistance the slower you’re moving. It will be the ultimate snipers dream
Zen Meteor was trash. This suggestion won't change that. Precision hits aren't always easy to get. Flinch, targets that move, teleport, dodge... Ya gonna get three precision hits against a wizard with a three round mag? Not likely. They brought Zen back, renamed it Still Hunt and gave it a perk that's far more reasonable.
For the awards I would make rase lighter scorch on light attack and will cure you on heavy attack. For dark drinker would weaken on light attack. On heavy attack would make enemies volatile. Last bolt caster light attack jolting and heavy attack blinding.
I have this fantasy of Young Wolf’s Howl coming back as a Siva Sword. Give it every perk Outbreak Perfected has (The Corruption Spreads, Parasitism, Disease Vector) but make it a Kinetic Sword. Have two Guardians loading up a high health target with Nanites via Outbreak and the last Guardian up in its face with Young Wolf’s Howl dealing an insane amount of DPS.
Removing the sniper glare from Patience and Time when the exotic perk is active is the biggest way to actually make it useable in PVP, otherwise you just have a giant "shoot me" sign that makes the invis pointless
I like the young wolf idea but only if it can stack cause then you can bring heartshadow as the other support sword and weaken with that as well giving a budget version of 30% debuff that teather would give.
The three for the 3 swords rather than leaving them behind it would be cool to “rediscover” them as the original and most potent form or each frame. So buff their stats slight and increase their reserves or something to make them considerable when it comes to content that you would use a sword in.
ZEN METEOR is still my favorite D1 exotic (right next to Pocket infinity cause it was my 1st exotic quest I did) and I remember soloing a nightfall with it and 1 shotting the Psonic Flayers with the modifiers Specialist and Airborne
Universal remote. Keep it prinary ammo in PVP, lower its damage so it cannot one shot, then maybe give it box breathing so it can onehit lower resilience guardians. Requiring box breathing for the onetap is gonna prevent it from overtaking meta with rush builds, only working when camping. And you move slower and have no radar while aiming so it may balance out
Glad you liked the ideas! That idea for the mega-sword being able to swap between frames and burns sounds awesome!
Appreciate the reaction brother
Hello there

Big ups
You really knocked it out of the part with your video.

Merry Christmas to the 4 other Destiny players!
Same to you, fellow destiny player

Didn’t even think about that!!
Sad how they didn't bring it back with LOW and QBB. The trio should've stayed together.
If they did bring it back as a rocket sidearm, I say make it a burst rocket sidearm

With how they restrict themselves merciless is what pocket Infinity can be. It would either run the risk of being a shittier version of merciless or it would make merciless obsolete and then either way there's a useless weapon in the game.
We have red death and crimson in the game.
Merciless existing is NOT an excuse for not bringing back pocket infinity anymore.
Pocket infinity needs to be a Heavy weapon
- hitting 2/3 of the 5 bursts greatly increases damage
- catalyst bursts with increased damage from it's intrinsic perk apply scroch ( so a full burst on a target resuslt in an ignition)
Posted this on his vid as well, but I definitely think you can bring back the old swords and here's how
Razelighter: Light attacks deal scorch, heavy deals more (so a combo of like LLLH gets an ignition).
Boltcaster: Aggressive tracking on projectile (think Trust-level curving) and jolts targets hit.
Darkdrinker: Damaging targets restores charge energy. Spin-to-win back-to-back until you're out of ammo.
(and to add new types)
Coldwave (Stasis): Wave Frame.
I would put the Fabian Strategy catalyst idea behind a void overshield, not amplified. Ties in better with Unbreakable that way.
Amplified
Restoration
Void overshield
Frost armor
Woven mail
And he also proposed that once this shield is destroyed, it would function similar to the unbreakable where once the shield is destroyed it releases damage forward that correlated with the amount of damage received.
Arc - either jolt or blind enemies when destroyed (whichever one is more balanced
Solar - scorch enemies
Void - suppress, weaken, or make volatile (whichever one is more balanced)
Stasis - slow enemies, possibly freeze (whichever one is more balanced)
Strand - sever or suspend enemies (whichever is more balanced)
That was quite the yap fest but yeah
yeah but then only Titans would benefit from using it
28:13 Raze-Lighter should create a firenado with its uppercut, Void-Drinker should pull enemies in & leave a lingering void vortex & lastly, Bolt-Caster should summon a lightning storm wherever the cast lands.
It's a legendary, but i loved using the Archon's Forge sniper; "But not forgotten". I wish they would bring that back.
Efrideets spear as well, it was broken but it just felt different to me
@Udon_Noodle yeah I know what you mean. That's how I felt about BNF. The scope was perfect on it. The handling. Man, that was a nice sniper.
I loved the way the end of the barrel looked and also just how the gun sounded
@D2zorlz I did too, man
For Tlaloc, I would love to see it tied to Prismatic.
Young Wolf’s Howl could be the first Aggressive Frame exotic sword in Destiny 2 lol. Solar wave could end with a Pyrogale-esque cyclone.
Doesnt ergosum have the aggressive frame as an option?
Though, ergo sum is a bit to all over the pkace to be considered as one particular weapon type.
4:09 man.......that was some gameplay there lol
Aztec if you're surprised by the Iconoclast ornament, there's also a gear set called "Witness" in D1, the Final Shape triangle in the traveler logo is all over D1's original tower and The Speaker is selling the "Deep Stone Crypt" mark for titans to this day (on a rotator).
the idea of the darkness being represented by triangles goes back to pre-alpha dev builds, and the deep stone crypt has been in lore since launch. Doesn’t mean bungie actually knew what they would do with those ideas
31:23 look how fast that super is charging lol. The good ol D1 supers, 4+ in a quickplay match.
Dude 14:30 the super good advice with frost armor sounds so cool
I saw someone propose on the Llama’s video in the comments that the gun should have an option to overheat the gun to where you can shoot one powerful shot (with cooldown after). Essentially, you can choose to cycle between body shots and headshots, or, you can go all in the headshots to charge up a overheated shot that could cause scorch (possibly an ignition if that is properly balanced).
Don’t wanna steal the guys comment but I just remember seeing it, was a very neat idea
Let's not forget Zhalo had intrinsic Thresh that helped build super energy real fast due to its insane ad clear capacity when chaining arc lightning
Considering how rapid-fire shotguns still require 2 shots to kill in PvP (to my knowledge, not sure if that was changed at any point), I'd make it so that Universal Remote needs 3, aka the full mag, and keep the primary ammo function.
I miss First Curse so bad the last few times 120s became meta i wished endlessly for it to come back to me
I just like how they forget Zhalo Supercell actually builds your super meter a lot faster with double kills, and returns ammo to the magazine, and it does chain lightning but without needing to take damage to trigger the perk to get it active
Chop chop cross, those Warframe Quests aren't going to do themselves. Merry Christmas to you btw brother
@ hey no problem. I’ll need to go check those out. Thanks.
Pocket Infinity should be a heavy fusion that has triple tap that works on body shots and rapid hits scorch targets and igniting the target returns ammo to the magazine.
The problem with pocket infinity and invective immediately was invective "you might as well just make a new fucking gun" and with pocket Infinity it completely deletes the spirit of the original weapon because the spirit of that weapon as much as they can with their current design ethos has already been captured by merciless,
And that's kind of the problem with a lot of these weapons because of their design ethos that go with it's either they already brought it back in a state that is as close as they can allow or you completely have to demolish the weapon and reimagining it completely so you might as well make a new one.
I feel like invective could be brought back in a way that makes it feel like its original form:
My proposal is to bring the weapon back as a primary ammo weapon with an exotic form of reconstruction as an intrinsic perk to keep up the "infinite ammo shotty" design.
Oh that sounds great! Super powerful but takes special ammo
I think the way to make this balanced is give it either a weak fire rate or really really low ammo count. I feel like if it could fire as fast as it did in the first game as well as hold as much as choir of one can, it’ll be a bit too strong
Abbadon and Nova Mortis along with their quest lines is all I ever wanted in Destiny 2!
Merry Christmas 'cross and team!!!
So fun watching this. Nemesis star needs to return. It was my first exotic that I got when I was 7. (I’m 16 now) 😟 make me feel old
The three swords should have the perk “The Fundamentals” also stating that switching elements will also change the frame.. and add the wave frame for Stasis where it creates crystals along the ground and defeating frozen or slowed targets creates Stasis shards and grant frost armor.. and Lightweight frame for Strand where multiple hits severs the target and defeating severed targets release a suspending explosion..
Idk tho
Destiny 1 Exotics just felt… actually exotic and cool back then…
Ehhh… half of them had their entire exotic turned into a perk.
Though the designs were very good, the exotics we have now are just better in terms of gameplay loops and build-crafting.
Nah, not even. The class exotics weren't that crazy. We had 2 extra copies of Thunderlord for Solar and Void. No one remembers Nemisis Star unless it was to clown on it.
lolwut
We are lightyears ahead in power. Some D1 Exotics were literally "wow slightly better ADS strafe"
@generallogics3643 I don't remember leaving one, but if I haven't, I probably should. Lol
Literally saw this video this morning, wondered if cross would cover it and, here we are!
For the swords, its easy. Just having it swap elements isnt cool enough for the blades forged from the taken king's own weapon. Make it one sword that you can change the element of AND give them an enchanced version of the power attacks.
Raze lighter gets the ability to charge the uppercut for insane single target damage
Darkdrinker lets you hold it down and keep spinning (like burning maul but better) while pulling targets in periodically
Boltcaster is harder for me to think of something. Maybe lock onto multiple targets and send out multiple discs
But more importantly, the swords should work like Agers scepter. Using a super in the same element should over charge the swords and further enhance the sword attacks.
Raze lighter full power attack charge is significantly faster
Darkdrinker sends out tethers that weaken and supress while spinning
Bolt caster heavy marks targets hit by it and allows for light attacks to teleport you to the targert for a fast multi hit combo
As for the name, calll it Unbroken Will as an homage to the blade it was forged from, Willbreaker.
Every thing related to D1 triggers alot of great memories 🥲💔
Universal remote should be a single shot shotgun. Give it the acrius treatment making it sluggish and slow. And reloading after a kill gives a stacking damage increase for a short time. Requires you to be up close and rewards you if you’re good surviving those engagements.
4:22 “immediate discharge on pullout” - Aztecross 2024 🤨
BUNGIE RETURN DREG’S PROMISE, AND MY WALLET IS YOURS
I feel like Pocket Infinity could come back as a craft-able weapon that utilizes Warmind Cells. With interchangeable perk slots that change how the cells behave when created and destroyed.
The last two videos I’ve watched from you were videos like this and I quite literally watched the videos you’re reacting to right before you uploaded 😂
Oil up cross
💀
Top comment
That’s wild 😂
I like the Fabian Strategy ideas because a Fabian strat. is a real thing where you focus on indirect confrontations and attrition.
The name of the gun is what is needed to defeat it. Which could work with the taunting aspect because someone telling you how to defeat them and not giving you a chance is most definitely a taunt
I loved Zhalo. It was the only exotic I used when doing a Raid or Strike. Unless it was a boss fight of course.
I can’t remember what strike (I think) it was but it was where a bunch of thrall ran up a bridge and I would just mow them down with Zhalo. Please bring it back 😭
Nemesis star will always come to mind when talking about old exotic weapons, one of my favorites of all times
Zhalo should be the first elemental weapon in the kinetic slot, possibly the only one
All I want is Pocket Infinity, I literallly bought Destiny because I wanted to know what that gun was and loved it. Its the only OG not brought over to Destiny 2, it actually got Sunset in D1 and never even got moved forwards.
Zhalo was introduced in taken King, Heresy would be the perfect reintroduction
Depends on what element you had before the perk activate the other 2 sword have the same heavy attack as the main one like if it is:
Arc: shoot out 3 projectiles, jolt and blind the target while give you amplified
Void: 3 sword spin at the same time, with the other 2 deal less damage. Weaken the target , make them volatile while give you overshield
Solar: A super uppercut deal massive damage. Ignite then scorch the target, while give you a weaker or shorter radiant and cure x1
Young Wolf’s Howl (Reworked)
Intrinsic: *“Bark”*
Using a heavy attack plunges the sword into the ground and creates a ring of fire in the surrounding area, buffing the player’s damage resistance, and applies *scorch* to enemies within the ring. Sword energy depletes while the ring is active.
Trait: *“Bite”*
Enemies defeated with light attacks within the ring *ignite* , spread *scorch* to surrounding enemies, heal the user, and grant sword energy.
Catalyst: *“Relentless Strikes”*
I'VE BEEN REALLY WANTING ZHALO SUPERCELL SINCE D1 PLEASE BUNGIE!!!
For universal remote: I think a way to balance it is to have the second trait suggested, the shrapnel that I internalize as looking like Outbreaks Siva AoE, require a certain amount of crits to activate.
-
Precision Frame shotguns shoot 11 pellets, I believe, and is what the new Universal Remote would be modeled off of.
-
The shrapnel should do more damage than Outbreaks Siva AoE by a decent amount to make it be worth the risk of playing it up close. This theoretical version of Universal Remote, due to its scope, should also have marginally less fall off than normal to justify ADS-ing with a spread.
-
In PvP it could still use primary ammo. Due to the critical pellet requirements, it could be balanced around only being able to two-shot an opposing guardian IF you land 16 of your 22 pellets from two shots as crits. You would die from the shrapnel explosion proc, rewarding you with area denial if you can pull it off.
-
Edit: In addition, there can be a timer added so you can’t just tag an enemy, walk away, then shoot them again a minute later to proc the shrapnel.
He's idea for Invective is the type of stuff I want from exotics.
No Land Beyond seemed to have a constant crucible bounty the last year, so yeah, you got hit by farmers a lot.
The problem with pocket infinity rework is that there’s already an option to keep full auto active on every weapon so it’s pointless for the rework, and I think for Meteor overflow or lead from gold would be better for the catalyst.
Zhalo was hands down my favourite gun in Destiny
I would agree with you if Tlaloc didnt exist #Warlockmain
That invective idea is great, I loved that shotgun in d1 and really would like it to come to Destiny 2
Community: Bring back Pocket Infinity!
Trace Rifles: Am I a joke to you?
I missed Zhalo so hard when i started in D2
I hate when people say zalo supercell is just risk runner but it’s not, zalo had that feeling that risk runner doesn’t provide
Yes, it's nowhere near the same shooting riskrunner
Red death proved that it could come back even though crimson existed so yeah the excuse that supercell can’t come back because of riskrunner don’t fly anymore.
Also risk runner, along with basically all smgs, are unusable on controller past 10 feet
@@Purpletridentso true😂
Amazing video happy to see this as it comes out
I used young wolf’s howl all the time in wrath, a lot of people would forget their debuffs so I’d be there swinging away with the special move and sometimes would out dps raze lighter and dark drinker
Bastion is basically a pocket infinity
Merciless
We need a void exotic scout rifle and an strand one they would be amazing
The Hard Light Sword is an absolutely incredible idea! You’d have to have a really good exotic mission to go with it.
I want Zhalo Supercell, Invective, Pocket Infinity, Dreg’s Promise, and Zen Meteor to come back
11:39 yes quickscoping with no land beyond was peak❤ I was one of those players😂
average destiny player rework: add a base line perk, give it more damage
Zhalo was insane
1:41 love how Aze is helping a brother out with the Manscaped ad lol.
I feel like Fabian Stradegy could have a powerful shield similar to a glaive, but when it breaks it stuns the wielder, keeping them in a stunned animation for a moderate duration.
It would make it more of a team support weapon instead of a Antaeus Wards 2.0.
I was gonna say this. Or to keep it similar to a Titan barricade, only have the shield be active while the player is standing still.
Bungie needs to hire this guy asap.... fantastic video!
9:40 isn’t that the same trait as the new exotic shotgun coming this episode?
They’d just make universal remote 2 shot as a primary
We'll probably get GTA 6 before bungie even realizes that the community yearns for the D1 exotics to make a comeback.
If they promise Zhalo in frontiers I will buy the expansions for next year. Just to use it one more time.
Removing the sniper glare from Patience and Time when the exotic perk is active is the biggest way to actually make it useable in PVP, otherwise you just have a giant "shoot me" sign that makes the invis pointless
video starts at 3:02 btw
Destiny 2 has so much potential with the amount of exotics we still don't have. They could create so many cool exotic missions.
I like the young wolf idea but only if it can stack cause then you can bring heartshadow as the other support sword and weaken with that as well giving a budget version of 30% debuff that teather would give.
He's made it, he's letting aztecross steal his content /j
Mery christmas Cross, hope everyone gets the exotic they are hoping for this year
The three for the 3 swords rather than leaving them behind it would be cool to “rediscover” them as the original and most potent form or each frame.
Please bungie, just make me an arc primary in the primary slot I beg
Universal remote. Keep it prinary ammo in PVP, lower its damage so it cannot one shot, then maybe give it box breathing so it can onehit lower resilience guardians.
Requiring box breathing for the onetap is gonna prevent it from overtaking meta with rush builds, only working when camping.
And you move slower and have no radar while aiming so it may balance out
Zhalo... My beloved. 😥
