The English VA of the Temari demon was the same VA as Jinx in the game, I noticed straight away when she laughed when I watched it, so it's funny to say you wanna rip that laugh from her throat forever xDD

True, most dubbed isn't worth and sounds cringe but there are some moments I like the dub more, and I can watch in the background. But also the Kaguya dub is insanely good and funny and The Ancient Magus Bride has some of the best voice acting I've ever heard in english.
Just want to add something that the Castlevenia is a game adaptation and this anime like most Japanese animes is a manga adaptation. Thats why you notice such a big difference between the way they are illustrated. most animations don't have this "self talk" in characters head but its something you can see in many animes such as demon slayer because these were details mentioned in the manga that the show runners want to include in some way in anime as well to keep the story line complete. Just as you mentioned, many of these details are very complex and while characters are not shouting it in battlefield, you can't explain them without adding in something beside the media you watch to explain it - hence why they add the "thoughts" in this way.
Demon slayer is a really good anime to start out with! it easy to understand and not super weird! I'm glad you like the show so far, It one of the best out there.
