I live in Hangzhou currently and before in Nanjing for 6 years - been in China 10 years. What I love about China are the social spaces, the public and communal places all are well kept, clean and safe. The landscaping and greenery in particular is a delight - in England, as you know parks nowadays are dreary muddy places covered in dog shit, peopled by homeless drunks and addicts (in my day there were park keepers and gardeners who kept the place clean and tidy. Here in China it appears that great thought goes into the design of these spaces, now, during autumn you can see the maple trees turning red and the planting of flowers seems to appear overnight. Its a delight to just walk down a city avenue enjoying the trees and daily life. The delivery guys are great too - in all and any weather you can order something online and its on your doorstep the next day - and the fast food deliveries are even faster. The living is easy in China. (But just to note over the last week here in Zhejiang virus cases have risen significantly and some restrictions are being put in place - nothing too draconian, but just sensible, as always. - Stay Safe)
Yes, China is becoming the model for future of the world. Don't forget in your heart to thank the hard working workers who made this possible, many of them don't earn much but work hard, so that the other people can afford to enjoy a better life. The government plans well but it's the workers who are the ones made these into reality.
Visions of China, you are very lucky, brave adventurer, who dare to put all your resources into the Chinese adventures, you must had done ample reseaches before you make the drastic move, you are receiving a lot of answers and rewards for taking such risks. Nobody can be more courageous for having such extreme living experience, be safe and good luck.
@Mathias I have been in China for 10 years - how long have you been here? Probably never right? In all that time I have not heard one person talk about the "social Score System" . In all the time I have been here, teaching thousands of students, married to a Chinese woman, count Chinese people as my friends, not ONE person has ever mention this system, not ONE person has shared any concerns about it. The only time I ever see it raised is in the rabid anti-Chinese press/media and people like yourself who have probably got to half-baked idea that every time we cross the road against a red light a CCTV Face ID camera is pinging us and somewhere a computer is noting this down and either adding or subtracting from some mysterious social score number. What does happen, is like in any society there are rules and regulations that if they are breached there is a set of state sanctioned punishments. In your society if you drink drive, you get punished, in America jaywalking gets punished, if you park your car in the wrong place you get fined. In Singapore if you import chewing gum you can face a jail sentence and they still cane people for infractions - but I guess thats OK because it's not China, right? What generally happens if you do commit a "misdemeanour" such as say Jaywalking - you do not have to pay a fine, you lose some of your credit, in some cases where a misdemeanour might carry a fine of 100 0r 200 RMB or more the alternative is often between 3 and 15 days in Prison.- This is often a better option for poorly paid rural dwellers plus it carries NO criminal record. But this social credit score becomes the better option for those people who breach the normal rules and regulations - you don't get to pay the fine and you don't get to go to prison for days or weeks. (My UK buddy did 2 weeks in a Chinese jail for a misdemeanour - you don't want to go there. ) So finally if you lose too many points you lose some of your social "rights' like using the train system or booking flights, you can still travel but by bus or coach.. a parallel with the West is you incur too many traffic violations you pay a fine AND lose you license for 2,3 5 years. So why the West gets their knickers in a twist because China is doing something differently is astounding. You need to stop reading right wing biased media, get on a plane and come a check out China yourself. Have a Good Xmas and New Year.

Hey Jason, after a decade living in China, your videos showing the everyday ordinary lives of China, and your humorous way of presentation, earned you not only many fans in China, but also all over the world. I live in Canada, enjoyed your videos very much. Guizhou province owes you big time for making this 2nd poorest province of China known to the world(some people in China don’t even know which province Guiyang belongs). As for the tastes of food, there is nothing wrong that we all have certain preferences, but to acquire and appreciate new tastes, one must first have an open mind and an adventurous attitude, i. e. give it a try at least. It took me many tries and several years to appreciate the stinky cheese from France, the smelly anchovies from Italy and the very strange taste of the Pilipino shrimp sauce. You don’t know what you are missing if you eat only burgers. The Cantonese are well known for cooking the best tasting beef offals(牛雜)if you happen to visit Guangzhou, you should give it a try.
When I saw the lovely baby Lincoln, I missed my son in China very much. I couldn't go back to China for two years because of the bad epidemic prevention and control abroad.
Subway in NYC costs $2.75 a ride. It is dirty and dangerous. There is no barrier on the platform and some crazy person push you onto the track and get run over by the train. Peeling paints on the walls of stations and are dark and damp.
Yes agreed. I tried to add a description of how it was as teenager with my Dad showing me how the NYCity grand Central station is and the electric power stations. 600 feet below grand Central station waiting room, is a little known place, called 1T, one tee. There's a not many people know about the secret street side entrance to the dark alley behind the big station area front building. And "monster rats" he saw scared him after he thought they were just a cat on his car hood. Until they turned around. Haha. There are many secret levels of railroad tracks below grand central station too. Years I tried to find people who activity had nerves to search for the dangerous mysteries we know are down there. There is a US president's secret train tracks area on one of those levels below grand Central station too. The 1T itself is 600 feet below the surface of the waiting room area. The giant open air facility held 6 to 8?.. very large GE made generators for powering 12,000 volts to the 3rd rail system. I guess you know about subway stations and various related topics so maybe you know about the same things I learned as a teenager. But they call the power stations sub stations too, even though they are many towns North from the city. I never knew why. They are now computer based and we only have a few pictures of the old systems. Living nearby the RR tracks is temporary but Tesla EVs opened one of their few stores next to our home/office and its across the tracks but close enough to amaze me watching the truck deliver Tesla's EVs from the Tesla gigafactory to here. Here is 40 miles North of NYCity area. I make cheap or free home improvements for families and single parents fir years who deserve better. Thank you for your attention to modernization and developments too. Stay safe always health is wealth. Cheap hunting acres North any where past Albany area and acres are low as 1000$ per acre. 10 for 10, etc. Closer to Canada, a few can be seen in acres listings for even 500 per acre. A low cost portable sawmill easily cuts trees into unlimited building materials. Our forefathers made many cheap farm houses for them and many people too. Good luck to everyone
I have been to China a number of times - Yunnan area, Xian, hua shan, Beijing, Shanghai, chongqing, 3 gorges, fenghuang, zhangjiajie, etc. And I want to go back to china again to visit many more places I have not visited .. I love china!
Go to Luo Yang, there is a Guan Yu Temple, it has original guan yu's sword, and many chinese believe if you pray in the temple, you can get a big lucky in business and make a lot of money. Luo Yang has amazing grottoes also, from centuries, and the old road has a very long market load of foods. Then Kaifeng near Luo Yang, it has a outdoor show about 800 artists in Qing Ming Park, collosal, laser light, the story about Song's dinasty, Kaifeng is a capital of many Song's Dinasties for hundred years, really love this two cities.
Jason: great job, always enjoy the comparison and contrast you’ve made in your unique humorous way. It’s a real blessing living in China. The little one is just soooooooo adorable.❤️
China is doing the right things. Unfortunately politics & the demonization of their govt have prevented us in Western countries from seeing & adopting some of their learnings. But, no amount of BSB news can dissuade us from seeing that Lincoln is the cutest baby in the world!!!
You know the irony is that most of the precautions we use in China are western medicine. But for some inexplicable reason they can't be implemented in the West, which is really sad.
I live in Australia between two cities, there is no passenger trains, just coal and grain. 2hrs walk from the nearest bus station, yet only 30kms from nearest city. Such an advanced nation...
@@bbddeng999 Australia is considered a "developed nation", I am being sarcastic when I state "such an advanced nation" as it does not have the advanced network of public transportation that China has, Australia is lacking in many areas, advanced infrastructure is one of them. We have advanced corruption?
@@cjmktsvc Actually Australia is one of the most urbanised countries in the world. 25M but highly concentrated. What is lacking is a government with any long term vision/planning that is focused on it's people rather than it's oligarchs. Australia can can afford billions (thankyou China) to buy nuclear submarines from friends in the US who also pursuit our Australian citizens/journalists like Julian Assange. All the while being critical of China/CCP. Treatment of our native population (real ethnic genocide) is another great example of the hypocrisy that is ripe here.
I resides in Hong Kong and also have dwelling places in Greater Bay Area in Mainland China. I plan to start my self-driving travelling in South West (Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunan, and Tibet) after re-opening of the border without quarantine. I am long for seeing the people, places and weathers. My only worry is my health certificate especially travelling through different provinces.
Baby lincoln was clearly bored while walking, he's like "I want my NINTENDO!" Jiao was carrying the baby and she still can walk so fast, what an amazing mum! titi=咪咪,lol
Jason, you made my day.....showing a part of China which most of us most probably won't be able to visit... so enjoyable. I especially love seeing little Lincoln, he is utterly cute. All 3 of you make a lovely family picture. After watching your videos, I now want to go to China. Tx 👌
I personally appreciate recognition system and the new technology which helps to maintain social rules and orders. However, US and western consider they are evil and depriving human rights for those applied in China.
In U.K. we still use cash! A big way to cheat on the government. The government knows but don’t care. Taxes like VAT should have been more! The furlough claims and bounce backed loans from the government cost the treasury £5bn to £6bn!! Tax payers have to pay for the scams!! Could build a few more hospitals and schools!
Although I am Chinese, I really don't understand what the Western freedom is.If wearing a mask is deprived of your freedom, why are you wearing clothes?According to Westerners' logical thinking, naked runs most free in the street, isn't it?
Their logic is ridiculous but I can see the benefit behind is giant company can’t profit if they followed the rules to wear masks. They don’t have freedom to using 5G, they don’t have freedom to abolish guns, what a “white left”!
Hey Jason…watching from Europe…your kid is really cute. Love your candid style of vlogging. And of course your presentation of the real China. I would encourage everyone to watch your videos if they want to see the real street level reality there. No editing. No bullshitting. Good one mate ! By the way if you read this , you owe me one !
I share your channel everywhere I can. China is far from perfect my city pollution is high sometimes. But China is making progress and under lots of pressure.
I live in the U.S.A. near the city of Atlanta, GA. One night I heard many gun shots about half block from my house. I believe so many bad guys carry guns in the street. America is nightmare and isn't free world because you can't walk at night to the grocery store.
@@alany.9366 The land of the free and the land of the ganster.! The US looks great and shining only in Hollywood film industries. Big house, big car and ton of cash on TV on a daily basis.!!
This is interesting, I lived in Georgia for the first 21 years of my life, and I must say, where you live matters. I'd say the pockets of just outside of the city not in suburban areas but just a few minutes past that you'll find peace. In general guns are meant to harm, but the difference is, if you own a gun, you won't harm someone unless they provoke you with a knife, gun, etc. As far as the freedom to choose what you will do is everything to USA. Having the ability to do heinous acts or profound good things is the power of the individual that only freedom can give. Gangsters and criminals in history are the origins of most organizations in America. Thriving company's became what they are because of the criminal acts that were committed some worse than others. At the end of the day, since guns are there, they will not be taken from those people, but the sale of future bought guns is another story. Anger is a gift or death sentence. If the banning of guns were to happen, much death would follow. But the ideas, and education is the more powerful weapons in my opinion.
But but but its the GREATEST country in the world!!!! AmeriKKKans are FREE!!!! Free to be RACIST, free to be mass shooters, free to bomb poor innocent countries, free to lie about why you are invading other nations, free to steal from the working man, free to illegal aliens, free to take from Native Americans, free to spread fake news, free to be homeless, free to be a drug junkie. FREE!!! FREE!! FREE!!
I am in Singapore now! I really really look forward to be able to walk around without a mask. I look forward going into coffee shops sometimes just because I am allowed to take off my mask while sitting and drinking. On a separate note, Lincoln looks bigger now.
@Dennis Chu In Singapore, we have to show the green code and wear the mask all the time, even while working in the office with only few people in it, except while drinking / eating.
China is working towards coexistence with the virus when the population achieves super high vaccination rate across all age groups China does not ignore the fact that babies and children need vaccination. China doesn't assume first generation vaccine will cover the mutation. She is working towards including Delta and Omicron variants. The other countries declare to coexist with Covid19 because they never can achieve zero local case strategy. Be it their economy can't cope or their people can't cope with lockdown. It is very nice to enjoy the peace of mind and blessings of living in China , Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan. New Zealand was once able to filter all import cases and cleared the local cases. New Zealand gave up during the Delta variant spread too fast. (Faster than the chasing , the test ...) Taiwan almost failed but the people was willing to cooperate and the government was willing to pursue extensive lockdown. Now Taiwan is all good again. Australia and New Zealand do quite well overall.
A huge THANKU to you mate, for spreading peace and love to the World, that how modernization, digitalization, freedom, and livability we are embracing, after nearly 8 years of life in Aus, I decided to move back, not just the global pandemic to blame but getting realize that how prosperous and powerful our motherland is! Tho still, kinda missing Sydney at times ahah. But yeah, thx for the inspiring and compelling story you've shared. Wish y’all a blessed holiday season.
I think many folks in the USA confuse freedom for licentiousness, which is currently leading to social chaos: theft, murder, and all sorts of violence, along and fueled, in no small manner, by a growing addiction to drugs. We need to learn in the good ol' USA that personal freedom needs to be married to order, and the common good, or everything goes to pots.........like it's going right now, sadly. I hope we learn this important lesson before it's too late. Blessings! :-)
The CGI's still looking good, Jason. 😎👍 Joking aside, what you mentioned about TFL hit too close to home - London's public transport is crazy expen$$$ive 😭
Good Evening from New Jersey USA Jason. Just started watching your videos and i have to say although I have never had the opportunity to explore abroad, I have always have had an interest in Asian culture, even more so now since I started dating my girlfriend who is from China. She always describes her country with such passion, and describes to me the wonders and how everyday life in China is so much betrer than here in the US. She so dislikes it here, and while I have lived here all my life, I can honestly agree with her about the state of our country, and I can honestly say if I didn't have family here I would consider leaving and finding a place over there. Covid seems to be never ending, and although I follow the CDC precautions and wear 3 masks while at work and out among the masses and although Ihave been fully vaccinated, I have managed to contract Covid which I had for close to 3 weeks. No one here takes things truly serious, if it is an inconvenience, it is not worth doing, what you shouldn't do, everyone does, and regardless of the rules or the mandates that have been put in to effect, everyone fully fights against the changes. Everyone thinks only about themselves and not for those around them, including there own family and friends, so selfish that it is truly pathetic on so many levels. We have so many freedoms that we take for granted, and others that we pay for having. This is our new flu, it will be here for a long time, so long as there are people here that are not willing to use basic common sense. I can say I am envious of what China has accomplished and I am glad that you and your family is doing well and everyone is happy and healthy. One day hopefully soon I will get to experience what you and your family experience each and every day.
Thanks for your videos they are very educative I enjoy watching them. I'm a Spanish person from central America.. it's beautiful I like it's so clean..
👍👍👍 A happy and beautiful family. China is a safe, friendly and beautiful country with superb infrastructures and lovely parks. Clearly the chinese people are living contented and harmonious lives as evidenced by your walk through the various parks and food courts. Blessings from Malaysia.
Thank you for you let people know about the real life of China, don't allow the west media talk lies everyday, I really appreciated for your contribution. We hope your family happy & healthy.
I went to Guizhou around 10 years ago to take IELTS test (because the education was less developed there so it was easier to get a higher test in the Speaking test). It was the worst capitol city I had been to at that time. I can't believe that it looks as beautiful as other big cities in China now.

Good luck to everyone
omg
@@SafepathUS Wow, just wow!
Won't the management be scolded for this? Or be complained?
Been to NYC only 3 times, but never used the subway because I didn't want to risk my life 😂
China is so modern and clean cities.
Wow I didn't know Guiyang has metro. We were there back in 2015, it didn't have much to offer. Can't wait visiting China again:=))
That puts UK to shame it looks so clean over there and the malls.
I will go to china again for continue my travel to around china when china is open, i am falling in love with this country.
Glad to see a happy family. I love little Lincoln. He is so adorable.
Jason: great job, always enjoy the comparison and contrast you’ve made in your unique humorous way. It’s a real blessing living in China. The little one is just soooooooo adorable.❤️
If you stay in China, your kids will have bright future. It's safe, education is everything, economic development is proven, clean streets.
Living in CHINA is like living in futuristic, Jason you're lucky
小林肯太可爱了,忍不住想要多看
China is doing the right things. Unfortunately politics & the demonization of their govt have prevented us in Western countries from seeing & adopting some of their learnings. But, no amount of BSB news can dissuade us from seeing that Lincoln is the cutest baby in the world!!!
You know the irony is that most of the precautions we use in China are western medicine. But for some inexplicable reason they can't be implemented in the West, which is really sad.
貴陽看起来規劃得很好!小林肯好可愛,一點都不鬧腾!我也想捏他的小臉蛋😆😆
I live in Australia between two cities, there is no passenger trains, just coal and grain. 2hrs walk from the nearest bus station, yet only 30kms from nearest city. Such an advanced nation...
why call it an advanced nation? just because it is white?
@@_Meng_Lan It is Ironic that someone doesn't understand the other is being sarcastic :/
@@bbddeng999 Australia is considered a "developed nation", I am being sarcastic when I state "such an advanced nation" as it does not have the advanced network of public transportation that China has, Australia is lacking in many areas, advanced infrastructure is one of them. We have advanced corruption?
Having population of 25 mill (less than 2% of China's) it's not feasible for Australia to build infrastructure like China
Lincoln is simply adorable. ❤️
Zhao is so patient and accommodating. Love her laugh.
Guiyang and Xinyi both are well developed. I really want to retire in such well developed city yet Low cost living expenses.
I can't keep smiling every time baby Lincoln shows up. He is sooo Oooo cute. 😍

She sure is, Jason is too
Jason, you made my day.....showing a part of China which most of us most probably won't be able to visit... so enjoyable. I especially love seeing little Lincoln, he is utterly cute. All 3 of you make a lovely family picture. After watching your videos, I now want to go to China. Tx 👌
Addicted bro, believe me, start with middle to north china, they are beautiful and easy to reach.

Hi, Jason! Why are you having so so much freedom in China? I am jealous! 😂
Being Chinese i am very proud! Only coming to China can you see the real look of China. And we Chinese welcome every sincere people🥰
in China everything’s so high tech! using mobile phone 📱 to pay for your stuff!..no cash! & Face recognition awesome too! This is spectacular.
Good point haha, in fact, run naked won't harm anyone, but not wearing masks during the pandemic will
There is nothing logical about those screaming idiots!!!
Looking forward to coming in Spring 2023, from your fellow countryman.
Lincoln's smile and Jiao's laughter make my day. Thanks.
Looks idyllic with the family on a trip. Great upload!
Any plan to take Lincoln to see his grandparents? Bet they will be thrilled to see him.
小林肯真可愛,有這樣的父母,才有這樣快樂的小Baby,祝一家幸福快樂,加油
Watching your videos really makes me want to visit China desperately 😊 #bucket-list
Your baby is so cute! Looks so much like you
Hey Jason…watching from Europe…your kid is really cute.

Hey Jason, don’t be jealous, I’m turn to a huge fan of little Lincoln now. He’s so cute
The way you flogged is very natural and good sense of humour in introducing something to your audiences.
I live in the U.S.A. near the city of Atlanta, GA. One night I heard many gun shots about half block from my house. I believe so many bad guys carry guns in the street. America is nightmare and isn't free world because you can't walk at night to the grocery store.
Well, to the gangsters and criminals, it is a free world.
FREE!!! FREE!! FREE!!
You are a lucky guy, having a pretty wife and adorable kid. Good luck! Enjoy your life in China.
(Faster than the chasing , the test ...)
Taiwan almost failed but the people was willing to cooperate and the government was willing to pursue extensive lockdown. Now Taiwan is all good again.
Australia and New Zealand do quite well overall.
the streets look so damn clean. china is gonna compete with the japan cleanliness level

Hi Jason!💯💯💯 Thanks for sharing a great video.👍👍👍
I think many folks in the USA confuse freedom for licentiousness, which is currently leading to social chaos: theft, murder, and all sorts of violence, along and fueled, in no small manner, by a growing addiction to drugs. We need to learn in the good ol' USA that personal freedom needs to be married to order, and the common good, or everything goes to pots.........like it's going right now, sadly. I hope we learn this important lesson before it's too late. Blessings! :-)
I would love to move my family and I to China.
Liked. From Singapore 🇸🇬
The CGI's still looking good, Jason. 😎👍
Joking aside, what you mentioned about TFL hit too close to home - London's public transport is crazy expen$$$ive 😭

china is so clean and pretty.
Guiyang looks quite nice, thank you for showing this Jason! I feel like I am travelling there myself by watching your video.
Thanks for your videos they are very educative I enjoy watching them. I'm a Spanish person from central America.. it's beautiful I like it's so clean..

I went to Guizhou around 10 years ago to take IELTS test (because the education was less developed there so it was easier to get a higher test in the Speaking test). It was the worst capitol city I had been to at that time. I can't believe that it looks as beautiful as other big cities in China now.
