  • Removing and replacing the serpentine (auxiliary or drive) belt on a 2002 to 2009 Volkswagen Polo Mk4 9N (with air conditioning). In this video I’m changing the belt on the 1.4 liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine. The belt length will be different on the bigger and smaller petrol engines and the diesel engines. It will also differ depending on whether the car has AC or not, so double check the part number with your own vehicle to be sure. This job can be carried out from the top of the engine, but space is very limited. NOTE: I refitted the old belt just for demonstration purposes only. I did not renew it as the car will not be going back on the road again. Thanks for watching, please comment, like and subscribe !

NOTE: I refitted the old belt just to demonstrate the removal and refitting process. I did not fit a new one as the car will not be going back on the road.

Excellent video as always! I've been learning so much from your videos. Could you please demonstrate how to change the Serpentine Belt on a Nissan Note E11? Thank you.

Thanks, I probably won't be changing the belt on the Note for some time. This might help: th-cam.com/video/Cj-FapMn7wE/w-d-xo.html

Hello sir thank you so much for your videos plz i have a probleme I changed the injectors of my 2006 Polo 1.4 gasoline car after excessive fuel consumption. Fuel consumption has improved now.. but I notice that after 5 or 10 minutes of driving the car starts to slow down in performance. The engine was intermittent, especially in first, second and third gear.. I need to press the gear. Pedal the accelerator firmly until the engine rhythm rises and its performance stabilizes... especially when the temperature reaches 90 degrees... Note: the fuel filter, gasoline pump, and Also, the bosh super 4 spark plugs were replaced recently

It's hard to say, is there an engine warning light on the dashboard ?

You'll need to plug in a diagnostic tool to find what error is causing the warning light
