Most of the problem stems from the sheer quantity of survivors throwing the match on the first down or first hook. If you get found first or have a short first chase, this is not a valid reason to assume that you WILL lose this match. Sometimes when I save the idiot that is trying to give up, they are the ONLY person to escape which is really galling, but often we are able to turn the match around becasue the killer was a one hook pony and we all escape. So PLEASE stop giving up at the beginning of a match. At least see if there is a chance of winning before you throw.
DC'ing in certain scenarios like game held hostage whatever it is understandable. When the argument is "it's a party game who cares" that leans more into just finishing the game yourself. Like if you want to DC just remember it's just a game who cares and finish the game. As opposed to ruining the fun and wasting the time of everyone else involved. Idrc personally as the bots do more than the people who insta DC anyways but still. It's a game and some people act like entitled babies and just go next on hook like what's the point if playing. It isn't always going to be catered to a specific person's ideals.
I'm not sweatin out an unfun match so lil timmy can earn an extra medkit in the bloodweb. The only incentive to stick it out is slightly more blood points so people need to play for fun and stop acting like a loss is ruining your whole day when you won't remember that match next week.
I agree with you with many points. I would have added to the 4 minute thing that that's not exactly how it works. You will be picked up multiple times, so it's not 4minutes, it might be a normal match lengt or even longer, once I had it go on for 20 minutes. If it would be just 4 minutes, so from the first down to bleeding out, why would anyone care are you a bot or a real player if you're just on the ground anyway. I think demanding people to play with you is a bit weird. While I see the problem and I want it fixed, the way people talk about it right now is wrong imo.
I agree that is should be fine for people to leave, however it's an issue when it doesn't have any punishment for doing it. The lack of punishment means it happens almost every game. Regardless of it being a party game, I'd hate to play Risk or something and every game someone quit midway. I don't want people going hardcore League ranked mindset, but I want them to at least finish out the last 10 minutes.
i dont even know how to argue with all these non logical statements. like whats the thought saying "its supposed to be a fun party game, who cares if 4/5 have a skewed game." when theres a whole balance team trying to bring matches to a certain outcome. as long as there is a mmr system in play all your arguments seem to just appeal to salty survivors, not to a better game experience overall
