- The Bodyguard (a 32foot Fisher yacht) belonged to our late father John Nissen. R.I.P. After several thousands of dollars spent , new parts and a lot of work organized and done mainly by my brother Dean to bring her back to survey standard , we sadly had to sell her. This video is of its epic voyage from Newport NSW to its proud new owner's port in Triabunna TASMANIA , crossing the infamous Bass Strait. Departing on the Winter Solstice (21/6/2021) onboard where John's 4 sons - Clay , Kyle , Dean and Glen NISSEN and their skipper John LAMBLE. I've always loved this style of boat and I've always dreamed of owning and living aboard one. They have that classic fishermans boat look.

Thanks for posting this. It reminded me of my happy teenage years when I lived in Tas and did a lot of coastal sailing in ancient wooden boats. Fun times.

Very nice video ( depsite the opressive music). A wonderful tribute to your parents. Sorry the boat left the family. But a great record and I thank you for sharing this otherwise unknown (to us in the U.S.) version of the Fisher. Love the room in the pilot house !

I enjoyed the memorial cruise dedicated to your parents. What a nice Fisher boat they owned. Thanks to Ma and Pa NISSEN's four sons for making this last memorial cruise. Fella's, I enjoyed the music throughout the video.

Do these Fisher motorsailers, have to use the motor in combination with sails, or can you simply simply sail with sails only & no motor.

since the 32 doesnt exist in the western hemisphere..it would be very interesting to get an in depth look at an austrailian built 32.. in and out of the water.

Despite the fact that I ❤ sailing... idiotic music = bad video. I think many sailors would agree with me that we want to hear sounds of the nature (wind, water) and boat (creaking) etc not some f-ed up music.
