If you guys want a simple way to sound good over this, you can actually use 3 different scales, all with C as the root. Try playing: C aeolian, C harmonic minor, Caeolian, C melodic minor. Personally over that G7alt chord, I prefer to use a G altered scale though (equivalent to Ab melodic minor).

For beginners, C minor pentatonic will work over all of it. Or try going back and forth between C minor pentatonic ( on chords 1 & 3) and G minor pentatonic (on chords 2 & 4) in the same position.

It's just a chords progression.. in daft pank tune, the 2nd chord is minor 7th in the first chorus.. in the 2nd chorus is altered..
what about the contest of the best choice of the scales over these changes :)?

is the 2nd chord in this progression an altered G chord (as in sharping or flatting some of the notes) , or is it just the alternate voicing of the G chord?
it me it sounds like a G7 with a sharp 5, if you go with that you should get some pretty tasty licks that work over that. Altered Dominant Scale and symmetrical Diminished scales should do perfectly here

That doesn't work, sorry. C Dorian has an A note, which sounds bad over an Abmaj7 and a G7. I suggest: Ab lydian, then G altered scale (or could do mixolydian b2b6), then C aeolian, and then F lydian b7 over the F13 chord (same notes as a C melodic minor). If you want to think of the scales all with C as root note, then they'd go: C aeolian, C harmonic minor, Caeolian, C melodic minor.
