Hey Olga, I love your videos. First, they are very informative and, secondly, you always say things in such a simple and straightforward way. Lots of love from Odessa.
Thank you again Olga for another informative video. I am hoping to return to Ukraine after the lockdown. Any revision of your video's regarding accommodation would be most helpful. Very good video. It's made my mind up! I'm moving to Ukraine to start a business. I'd love to be pointed in the right direction. I do concrete, building, drive excavators, tractors and wonder how to find out who to contact for work
I took the risk dealing with Austin to be in charge of my trade and finally end up with perfect testimony.his platform is amazing and very straightforward!!
I used to work in the concrete industry. It's interesting that the people who own the batch houses don't own the cement mixing trucks. The company that I used to work for here in the U.S. has their main head quarters just across town we had a heavy mechanic repair shop, a batch house for mixing the sand and stone batches according to the customers specs, stone crusher and washer and a casting house where we made concrete feed and silage panels for farms. In Addition to the main HQ we had 40 sub stations with concrete batch houses, 100 small quarries scattered about the state where we got both sand and gravel some had equipment to separate the gravel from the sand so that we could sell sand or gravel to people if they did not need concrete. In total we had over 400 cement mixers, 200 dump trucks, 30 semi trucks, 100 dry bulk semi truck trailers for hauling cement powder that was picked up at a local railroad transfer station, 20 flat bed trailers for hauling concrete precast molds and 150 front end loaders (mixed Caterpillar and Michigan's) to work the quarries, 20 caterpillar excavators of varied sizes, and 14 Caterpillar bulldozers of varied sizes.
If I have a more unique idea should I still give it a try even if it is not one of the suggested business ideas in the video, or are you saying these are the only businesses that will work ? Also if I would like to start a business is it ok to hire Ukrainian employees ?

I want to be honest with everyone here if your budget is under $100.000 Do Not even think about doing a business and living in Ukraine! You need at least $60.000 to buy 1-2 bed flat . You need at least $500 per month if you want to rent a proper flat to live . if you cannot speak Ukrainian or Russian you must hire people to speak for you almost everywhere and for everything.. Your costs will be 2-3 times higher than a local person. I have been in many of biger Ukrainian cities. After 10 years wasting time and money I had no choice but to leave . I have been in more than 60 countries I never seen a country better than United Kingdom for life and doing business. Think Twice before making any decisions 🤣..
The health care is super cheap but not too comfortable. I lived there 10 years and got pneumonia. It cost like $100 over three weeks counting antibiotics, xrays, and home doctor visits. I definitely didn't want to stay in a hospital. Having some insurance to get you home if you can't move is something to consider.
Coffee shop or restaurant, requires a LOT OF ENERGY, and is a 24 hour responsibility. I agree, $5k is not enough, you need at least $50k. I would say, the safest and lowest risk, is high-value, added-services, for example graphic designer, computer programmer, etc...
I like the construction idea but the equipment here is very expensive I think. Try jewelry manufacturing and /or repair, I did it for here for years but you do need to buy some tools and you really need to be fast as well as good, I was good but not fast enough to make a lot of money.
