i will reopen my gearbox and follow your steps as you give very very well informed instructions Mateo, my issue with the rc is that when i go into reverse at a certain speed it chucks, like it jumps a tooth, do Have to say my next ride won't be Axial unless they make the Screws more commonly to be founded on the market. The M3 2.0 x 12 shaft screw is headache when it lost and needed to find extra

Hi Matteo, just a question, the dig function is only two or three position ? I mean 1)-Normal 4wd ,2)-2wd front, rear free, 3)-2wd front, rear locked. Thank you very much

This is only two position. One is 4wd and the other is blocked rear axle.

I‘m a beginner and i could work with the manual really nice. But one thing I‘m not sure about is the 4WD. The Gear works with 4WD nicely. But if I switch to the 2WD the back tiers are blocked. Shouldn’t they not run in freewheel?

This is all right, it’s not a 2wd switch. It’s a DIG function wich means the rear tires are locked. The advantage of this function can you see in my review video of the Axial SCX10 III

Hello Matteo..i've done build scx.3..im setting it to full 4wd with the spacer installed both dig and gear shifter..is it supppse to be free when moving or not? Thnk you..

With the spacer installed the shifting functions should be blocked.

My dig function works, but I can't seem to get the servo to fully close it. Like where it partially closes to engage 4wd then after slight rotation of drivetrain it fully engages by hand. Any help thanks

I think something with the rod lengths or the endpoints of the servos need to be correct adjusted.

i just got my axial scx10 III jeep gladiator last week. Do i need extra parts to get the gear lever to work ? its not budging when i try to get it into high gear, and i dont want to use force on it if it turns out i need to change some parts in order to make it work :)

You need to open the gearbox and remove a spacer on the rod. This blocks the movement.

Yes, but not for completely go under water, but no problem for wet conditions and river crossing...

You have to open the gearbox and remove the spacer from the 2-speed shifter. Then connect the linkage to the shifting servo.

Everyone who's got one says that it's got a terrible CLICKING noise, no matter how it's put together.

Hi Carmine, now I have already a few hours of driving on the truck. I have to say in my opinion there is no extremely unusual sound on the gearbox. Of course it's not a very quit transmission, but I think this is caused of its complexity. I have also on my TRX-4 some clicking noises, especially in second gear and slow driving. What I think is much more unusual is the small difference between the two gears. First gear it goes fast and second gear a bit faster. Can not understand why they not made a bigger gab between the two gears...

YES Matteo, that's the biggest mystery!! 😲
TRAXXASS has a 160% difference between 1st and 2nd...
Axial only has 110% difference between 1st and 2nd!
Not enough to justify running a 2 Speed. Especially with Brushless Power......
We are hoping that one of the aftermarket Companies will make a wide ratio Gearset for the SCX10 III.
