    For people watching this video trying to decide wether to buy it or not: I bought one about a month ago and I absolutely love it. I have a roomba and an M6, and this thing out does both of them in navigation. Is so much quicker and the mapping system gets done in less than 10 minutes. I tried doing fabuloso because I like how it smells and it won’t work so just use water. It learns the house to the point that it won’t bump onto anything, not even the chair and table legs. It doesn’t go over carpet, but it does go over thresholds. Washes itself and dehydrates the pads so it doesn’t accumulate germs and odors.

  • @kerenmolinamorales2424

    Finally, someone that knows what I’m thinking lol. I wanted to know if it would pass my thresholds because I have a braava jet m6 and it won’t, by any means, go over any of the thresholds in my house! Thank you so much for mentioning it.

    Wonderful review, quick question, so this one you need to vacuum carpets separately don't you, in can't sense them and lift the mopping pads?

    • @MrRoombato
      @MrRoombato  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on you. Technically, you can remove the pads and have it go on carpet. Or you can do what I do, and turn off carpet detection and let it "mop" the carpet as it vacuums. It only makes the surface slightly damp and it dries in less than a minute. There is really no harm in it at all. I think people are being super dumb about this.

    • @lisamoyers1122
      @lisamoyers1122 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrRoombato I also thought about doing that to be honest. The reason I haven't is our current machine which is a Hobot Legee loads of hair and dirt end up on the front of the pad and it just gets spread on the carpet. But it is a lower end of the range robot mop/vacuum. Will definitely take your suggestion on board

    • @MrRoombato
      @MrRoombato  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a though one. The W10 is significantly less expensive and does a fantastic job mopping and vacuuming. The downsides are no object avoidance and you have to empty the dust bin by hand, perhaps every day depending on how clean your house is. So depending on how much those things matter to you, either robot may work out well, or you may strongly prefer one to the other. It really depends on your house and your needs.

    Hi. Great vid. I current have a ECOVACS N8+ Pro which I like but I am a bit tired of having to attach and remove mopping pad to clean my combo floors of low pile area rugs, hardwood, and tile. I assume that the Dreame W10 you have to make that same decision if you want to clean multiple type of floors? If mopping mode is selected will it go over low pile carpets and just vacuum? Also no specific clean zones in the app? I think maybe the only device on the market that does what I want is the RoboRock S7 Max V? Thanks!

    • @MrRoombato
      @MrRoombato  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the Roborock is the only one. However, the Dreame W10 can do it also if you disable carpet detection. Then it will "mop" your low pile carpeting, which in my experience isn't a problem. But then I only had it cleaning a small door rug. I don't know what the long term effects would be on large areas of carpet. It won't hurt the carpet, but it may hurt the robot (increased friction/resistance).

      I don't have an S7 but I just got an S7 MaxV Ultra. So far, I prefer the rotating mop pads because they clean better on a single pass. With a vibrating mop pad, the very edges of the pad don't really do much, and it doesn't get as much coverage on a single pass. Maps get screwed up sometimes in all of these apps. You can just restore them easily. With the MiHome app, I've had a couple of random map screwups with various robots. A quick restore fixed them. Since the maps are stored on the robot, you would need to disconnect the robot's battery to lose your maps.

      As far as pure mopping goes, I can't really tell much difference between the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and the W10. However, the W10's pad cleaning system is more robust. Fewer moving parts, less maintenance. You'd be giving up object avoidance and a lot of features, but if mopping is your priority, I'd go with the W10. Just be ready to empty the dust bin by hand frequently.

      @@gowthamib2936 One thing to note, the Roborck doesn't mop well if it vacuums and mops at the same time. I talk about this in my "which one should you buy" video which you can find on my channel. To mop well, it has to make very tight turns and overlap, which is only available when set to mop only. That may change, because it's a software thing, or it may not. The Dreame W10 mops much better when it's vacuuming and mopping at the same time.
