This TV show is so good. I will not lie that it took me a while to actually watch it because I thought it would be like another Star Trek or something but the first season had me on the gate about it but the second and especially the Third season made me a serious fan. I'm going to need more episodes like soon.
This is kinda like a love letter to star trek as Seth MacFarlane has said he loves star trek and was basically a backbone on this series. But i assume he hated the newer star trek and movies that went more action vs science and discovery. So he made the orville.

Reminds me a bit of Galaxy Quest. Took a while for me, too, to get a feel for this show. The one thing I didn't like was all the back and forth that happened in the show. The enemies and allies are yours, but then, they switch. A bit too obvious. The only downside to "The Orville."
@@dkayflowers79 I was mostly a Nintendo kid, but I was introduced to the Sega Genesis from a friend when I went to his house, and god I loved me some gaming on that! Especially Herzog Zwei, that was an awesome game for it's time, and I'm glad it got a kind of spiritual sequel for pc.

Orville was what kept the Star Trek fandom alive in the dark days of ST:D. .. a time when Star Trek IP was helm by a corpo exec that proud proclaimed he didn't know the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars.
Its a comedy version of Star Trek. But at this point the idea of a massive alliance of planets exploring the galaxy and going on adventures is less of a Star Trek thing and more of just a SciFi thing at this point.
Try doing Stargate universe's episode where they encounter the planet builders

Pretty cool episode, while I've seen this plot before in the Sega Genesis game "Generations Lost" , this is well done and acted, good work.
