- Today I’m unboxing the new Steam Deck and setting up on camera for you. I literally have been waiting for almost a year for this new console to arrive. I was getting so impatient I almost considered canceling my order. I’m so glad I didn’t though because it truly is a great console, not sure if it’s the most practical handheld console to carry around but it’s definitely a beast.
I’ll be unboxing some cute accessories I was able to get for it. The selection is very limited so all I was able to come up with was some cute pink cases for it that I purchased through Amazon. I’ll also do a mini walkthrough game play so that you can get a feel of how the games run. Hopefully the Steam Deck will be widely available in the coming months. I know right now they are still struggling with the supply chain as the Steam Deck my boyfriend pre-ordered we have not been able to actually purchase yet.

THIS! I really want a cute carry case for my Deck instead of the black one we got with it. Don't get me wrong it's a great case but I'm a pastel girl. I don't do black. But all I can find to buy as replacements are also black... *Sigh*

I recommend getting a skin and then a pink silicone case over it, some thumb grips (I have nice sakura flower ones) and then using an audio jack dust plug charm :)

Did you ended up keeping the last cover ? My deck is naked since July I feel it need to be protected but all the choices are too masculine for my tastes.
Yes, I kept both cases and I use them interchangeably. Right now though I’m sporting this super cute skin. I have a video on it coming up soon 🤭

In terms of touch sensitivity, the screen is very nitpicky. I decided to go with a screen protector (and skin, and preorder of the case, which dbrand should release later this year) of the american company dbrand, instead of ordering a cheap chinese screen protector from amazon, although I had to wait 1 month of delivery time and had to pay more customs fee, than the product itself had cost. (I am from austria). I have no issues at all with the touch screen.
Actually the RMA was approved by Steam as this was happening even without a screen protector on it.

I want to get the steam deck, but I just recently bought my switch oled and I’m afraid once I get it I will hardly pick up my switch. Another thing stopping me from getting is the size and design of it, I have heard of a lot of people having issues with it as well. Should I just get it or should I just continue playing my switch?
I honestly love playing PC games, so for me Steam Deck is the way to go! If you have a lot of games on Steam then I would recommend this console specially if they are compatible with Steam Deck. Switch is a nice console too and there's the caveat that some games are Switch exclusives, but I think you'll run into that with any console. Recently PlayStation and XBox have been in litigation over usage rights. Conclusion: I'm a big fan of Steam and Nintendo, but I tend to pick up my Steam Deck more often than I do my Switch. 💕

I've seen it on some people's consoles, and it looks good; I like the color of this one a lot too but the one I got fits kind of loose 😕
I'm confused why anyone would want long fingernails because I clip my fingernails the moment that they start touching my phone screen.

@@lxcy0190 you guys don't get it. Having the clickity clack of your nails on the phone screen is super annoying and also makes it harder to accurately touch the spots you want to. It's not about different strokes for different folks it's about one being genuine a hinderance to every day life.

@@annalifeunedited I mean I guess sometimes when I play a video game I'll change some of the rules to make the game worse just for the fun of it or go grab like a worst controller so maybe you're doing like the real life equivalent of that and it's fun for you.
Hm I really want to get that pink case. The floppyness annoys me, but maybe I can shrink it to fit better somehow?

Am I not the only person who bought not with a bribe review or for a review, I bought Steam Deck to play it and get a lot of positive emotions, by the way, if you have Sonic The Hedgehog on Steam Deck, how is it played? I'm going to buy it soon;))
I don't have that game :( I ordered this for the gaming experience, many times I considered cancelling my order but ultimately I'm glad I didn't because I enjoy playing it so much. Definitely a different experience than the Switch.
