Nice spot. I love solar. Nothing ruins camping like a noisy generator.
We have used a generator, but we do try to keep it to a minimum. I don’t like hearing it run either.
Sorry I missed your premiere. What a pretty lake and campsite. Those burgers and hot dogs look yummy. Cool Commander Bacon hat from His Way Homestead and freeze dried skittles! Awesome of your friend to give you the nice solar panels and power pack. Looks like most of the sites have a nice view of the lake. Great video, Felix and Jessie.
It's a great spot. Yes those solar panels are awesome. Didn't get very sunny that day like they said it would, but we did try them out later in full sun and they worked amazing. The views of the lake are great there. We had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for watching :)

That was free! Wow, that was a nice campground right by the lake, just beautiful. Burgers and dogs looked tasty too :) Freeze dried skittles, I would love to try those. I want to get a dehydrator and try to do some marshmallows lucky charm style, lol. Looks like a good time at that campground, thanks for sharing.

Many times not having hookups just means better sites. Plus for free anything you can get is nice. Very nice tour. We may have to check this one out when in the area. Hope y'all are doing well. When you are in TN again will have to get y'all out to cabin for a few days. All the hookups you want and a free stay. See I drive a hard bargain. lol

We did a little magnet fishing. But wasn't real successful. Just a clip or two in our latest magnet fishing vid. I'm usually not on camera because I'm always behind it lol. I'll have to try to get more cooking stuff in there. Food seems to be pretty popular lol

Yeah we had to get her in the video. Sometimes it's not a good opportunity to have her out a lot. But no peeps nearby so it was a great time to get her in the video lol

You have to love a Free campsite, especially with that beautiful view of the lake and sunset. Does it have a convenience/comfort station? Even the upper ones had a nice view. Thanks for showing us around the campground and sites. -Dat
The only thing it has is pit toilets. It's pretty much bare minimum. Thank you so much for watching :)

If I remember correctly, your sis lives in southern MO? This is more northern. Several hours drive from the town I'm thinking your sis lives. BUT if you're just planning a big long trip to get out and about, then for sure. It's a great stop. We didn't have much luck magnet fishing here. And no dock catching either. They didn't have the right railing LOL
Love your solar panel and the battery my friend. I have something like that but realized the panels I have needs to be replaces as its 2 years old and takes forever to charge. Stay safe my friends. LIKE 23. 👍👍👍

@@HappyPlaceCamping I talked to a few friends of mine and they said the older panels will lose efficiency as it ages. So definitely need to see the new technology out there. Hopefully the newer panels are better. Stay safe.

My gosh! I could do no hook ups for free camping! I’ll bet it fills up in the summer huh? I have a set of those same solar panels. They work pretty well! Leaves coming soon!
Right! We don't mind no hook ups. Especially with that view. If it doesn't fill up in summer, I'd be surprised.

Hey thanks for joining us. In the case of this place we just checked Missouri conservation website for the areas they have that provides camping. But most of the time we will use freeroam, campendium or rv parky to find places we can spend a night or two during travels. We have even found some places by searching free camping on TH-cam for the state we're in. There have been a few times we've found places because someone else did a video on them.

I've been thinking about solar but I'm not sure it is worth it since I generally book a site with electric. Maybe if I head out west I'll have a need for it. Nice job.
Yeah if you rarely boondock, not sure it would be worth it. Unfortunately, that day ended up being cloudy and rainy all day. So it didn't do much good to have them out. But we do hope to get real good use out of them down the road.
I love free camping. On a Lake too. Is it on first come? How is the solar panel working so far?
Yes all first come first serve. No reservations. I'm sure it packs up in the summer time. We didn't get to test the solar very well that day. Ended up raining and cloudy all day. Weathermen were wrong lol. But we did set it up later with the other two panels that we hadn't brought with us on that trip and it all worked pretty well. So hope to get good use out of them in future.
