    Good point about the charging infrastructure. Note that the fast charger you used is built and managed by an Australian company in Brisbane, called Tritium. They employ over 200 people here and close to 300 globally. The future of manufacturing and employment in our backyard.

    Good review. The EQC back does remind me of the Storm Trooper. I like the full LED strip across the back, similar to new Audi A7 and current Porsche range. Since Norway is 24 times smaller than Australia, the cost to implement charge stations would be a lot less and faster. Love all the charging technology / information in the EQC, but will it work in Australia? The MBUX in the A class that we get in Australia only have 1/4 of the functions compare to the one in Europe and U.S, it can barely do anything.

      Tesla miles ahead of electric vehicle technology yeah MB is may be bit better in interior otherwise it’s kind of sucks battery is 80 kw Tesla offers 100kw plus all features to get as much as possible from that big battery Tesla electronics is better semi autonomous cruise controls, Tesla in car electronic suite is great Tesla charging network ( especially here in US is just great ) my main concern it’s this MB has a smaller battery and small range MB had all the time and money in the world and still Tesla done better job

    I can’t help but feel that the Merc already looks old, even compared to a 2012 Model S. The lcd screen looks great in the A-class, but here it just looks ordinary. Resolution, functionality, speed.... No frunk, ancient interior space usage, transmission tunnel!?! I’m a Benz fan, C63, G-class, SLS, epic motors. Is it wrong for me to expect more from the world’s most experienced car manufacturer? Not a Tesla troll, because I like the eNiro. Even considering to that one have alongside our Model S.

    I can't find any Tesla reviews on your channel. You really should do a Model X review and compare it, because the model X is objectively better in every way - better range, better passenger comfort and seating, better storage capacity, better performance, better infotainment (especially navigation) and better autopilot, not to mention better resale.

    3:00 Always amazes me how quickly car reviewers jump on the tired "Tesla Killer" bandwagon once they find a part of a car that seems superior to a comparable Tesla. In this case the Model X and later the Model Y are superior in terms of technology and practicability but the nicer interior in the EQC "should have Tesla worried".
    I have the impression these guys would leave their wives for a girl that has a nicer haircut.

  • @andymal21
    @andymal21 5 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @ColinFox
    @ColinFox 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is a disappointing effort that will not impact Tesla's numbers at all. Like most reviewers, this reviewer confuses "interior design" with "build quality". Tesla's interiors are just fine quality wise -- they use high quality "vegan leather", aluminum, soft touch plastics and carbon fibre just like everyone else. The stitches are straight, and nothing moves that shouldn't move. The design is simpler though, and if you don't like that, well, that's personal preference, but it has nothing to do with "quality".
    Now let's talk features. Tesla's infotainment system is a million times better than MBUX. It's clear, simple, and you never have to tap more than 2-3 times to get what you want. MBUX makes you wander around in submenus to try to find what you need. Awful, in comparison. And the voice system just listening for the word "mercedes"? That's going to get really annoying. In the Tesla, you press a button when you want the computer to listen to you. That works way better.
    Why did they only offer seating for 4 adults? Or 4 adults and one amputee. In an X you can get 5, 6 or 7 seats. You can get a frunk. You get world class navigation. You get supercar acceleration and 100kms range more than this one.
    Why would you buy this over an X, unless you were a dyed-in-the-wool Tesla hater or Mercedes lover?

    Great improvements and also great to see Toyota finally joining the 5 year warranty club and Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Kudos for Toyota offering the upgrade for free, because as other manufacturers have noted, it requires new hardware that can cost quite a bit in addition to the software changes. If Toyota included the hardware already, then it begs the question why Apple CarPlay and Android Auto would not turned on from the start.
    The RAV-4 is most certainly made for the US market though, and it's for this reason it was released there a while ago. I am currently in Japan and note it was released here simultaneously with Australia. Similar to the Subaru, it has rugged (almost ugly looks), that work for a US market, but won't work quite as well in Australia or Japan. The interior is a big step up, but really still makes it seem like they've just caught up to where Mazda was just as Mazda ups the ante with the new 3. I think Toyota and Subaru should take a leaf out of Mazda's years of obsessing with ergonomic and physiological studies just so that the right button press and seat posture. Then again, Toyota would simply just do the same and call it a Lexus NX, then charge $25,000 extra.
