Just noticed his autocombo grab is meant to be the God Bind move Goku uses against Broly in the movie, where he holds him in place for like a minute. That's actually really cool
I think another person played a pretty big part in this thing is Shoyoumomo. His edits are legendary and some of his Videos like fake patch notes and "Vegito Ruins Everyone's Day" are among some of my favorite things on TH-cam.
To be fair, Shoyou started the trend of using mods for FighterZ animations. He's even the one who helped Lythero with the earliest animations and even recent ones, as well as teaching him the secret arts. No disrespect to either, I love the content from both of them. But give the OG FighterZ animator the credit he deserves
DBFZ is bound to have some wonderful breakthroughs in the modding side now that we’re at the end of its lifespan. SSG Goku may be mostly re-used assets, but it’s a huge proof of content to way more to come!
I feel bad that I was never able to finish my big project after DBFZ Turbo, DBFZ Kai, before I went back to college. That being said, I'm glad things turned out the way they did, and it was great to see my work here.
It's oddly surreal to see all of these creators here. Lean, Saitsu, and RCBurrito helped me to update Lean's Super Vegito mod. (although it is outdated now lol) Ever since I stopped playing DBFZ I've been out of the modding loop, but it's amazing that all of these fantastic works are becoming more widely known. I loved testing Turbo even if I wasn't around too much, and I wish you the very best in your educational endeavors! Thank you for making this game that much better. With respect, Jakku.

Wasn’t really able to figure out what made SSG Goku unique beforehand, not being a DBFZ player, but this video is super helpful on understanding how he works, nice job!
Same, I just hate that SSG makes them young or thinner though. Both SSG and SSG Blue are probably just a buff to match Beerus and other Godly beings, While UI and UE makes them gain new tools and abilities.

Looking at your mod, with the exception of Ginyu,SSG Goku does give me this sense of...culmination? His kit is the culmination of all Saiyans that came before him (and Ginyu smh) A Saiyan above Saiyans

I'm glad that modding for FighterZ has worked its way up to where it is today; back in 2018 this sort of stuff was thought to be impossible and now here we are with the ability to make wholly new movesets, tools, costumes, etc. Gives me a lot of hope for the future, especially in FighterZ 2 ever comes around so we can properly start documenting things when it releases 👀

I saw the SSG Mod a while ago on Twitter and I remember being genuinely dumbfounded at both how well made the character was and just how many possibilities this now opens up now. We could literally have Farmer with a shotgun as a unique playable character in the future and that's pretty sick

The music, editing style, jokes, and using text to speak, is such a unique way to create this GENUINELY educational content! Seriously, I had NO idea what DBFZ had in its mechanics, let alone ANY fighting games! "Frames make a difference" "Can't everything be blocked?" "Why does distance matter?" and so on Your content has shown me how INCREDIBLY detailed this area of gaming is! I know it was difficult but I never knew it was so technical! I am SO excited for this modding potential, turning skins from just skins to ACTUAL characters with unique sets! I don't want you to ever feel like you HAVE to keep making these videos. If you ever stop, that's okay. But even if you odid, every one of them is a gift and it would never change the fact you've made so many already! You are your own presence on TH-cam, changing the opinions of those that want to learn all this stuff, and as someone who has never enjoyed any fighting game competitively I am SO psyched to learn more! I'm sure if the video was just 10 second shorter in some areas, you probably would have only spent HALF the time you did to make them. And yet, you always put such love into these projects! I swear, even if we just had the SSG form as a kind of half-transformation for current SSB Goku (as in, he starts in SSG but whenever he does a super he changes to SSB for the rest of the time he's tagged in), it would be INFINITELY cooler
As of writing this, two new modded characters have been added to the scene: Beast Gohan, a character with stupid good neutral (I think) and Recoome, weirdly enough, who is a hybrid of Ginyu and Nappa. These modders make some of the best things I’ve seen in years, and I want it to keep comin.

I think modding is one of the best things to happen to modern gaming. Not only is it getting easier and more available, but creators are getting more ambitious and it's really paying off. Lots of Dragon Ball games have sick modding scenes, too. FighterZ has great stuff and is quickly getting better, Xenoverse 2 has heaps of cool custom additions that make the game 10x better, and BT3 recently got the BT4 mod, which basically made it a brand new game. I love modding.

Modding is too OP. It allows us to realize the visions of the games we enjoyed as we imagined them. Most Wanted 2005 has a lot of Redux mods that add a ton of extra cars in the game, along with other games that just add so much more content wih their inclusion. The power of human imagination will never die.

Modding is too OP. It allows us to realize the visions of the games we enjoyed as we imagined them. Most Wanted 2005 has a lot of Redux mods that add a ton of extra cars in the game, along with other games that just add so much more content wih their inclusion.

My favorite modded skins are still the SSJ4s for Goku and Vegeta. Can't go wrong with the classics
