When is Enough Enough? Should the European Union keep on expanding all the way to the Caucasus?

Last december the EU suddenly opened the door for the small country of Georgia in the Caucasus to become a member of the Union. Six months later, the Georgians are giving the EU a headache by introducing a foreign agents law. But the bigger question is should the EU keep on enlarging? Will the EU not crumble under its own weight? Do we citizens of Europe agree to expand our democratic community all the way to the Caucasus bordering on Iran, Russia and Turkey?
