I have mild cerebral palsy. I also walk with a limp & can’t use the left side of my body. My left arm can’t fully bend. It took a very long time to embrace my CP, but now at 31 I do. Thanks for the video. I also have physical disabilities and chronic pain. It took 5 years to get a diagnosis. And probably 35 different doctors. Because of my pain, reading is my way to cope. I save the best books on my TBR for after my surgeries because I need to get wrapped up in a fantasy world to get through it. I found your video because I’m in so much pain at the moment and I trust your recommendations for great books !
I have several disabilities so I won’t go into all of them, but when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 27(I’m almost 42 now), my dad didn’t believe me or believe that it was a disease. I was a preemie so you would think he would have accepted it. When he dismissed me I was horribly hurt.

I read His Tesoro yesterday because of an earlier video recommendation from you and I have to say how impactful it was. As someone with hEDS, the rep was really accurate, though Sofiya’s is worse than mine. Even though the character was treated badly, so much of the negative internalized self-image is spot on for the things we do to ourselves as we lose more and more of our ability to just function “normally” (even if our normal is already different) on a daily basis. This story brought me to tears within the first ten percent because it was so impactful. ❤️💛🤍🩵💚
